Normally, the kneejerk reaction I have to anything French is kinda negative.. (if i was British, others would call the forgoing 'typical british understatement)
But...
I just can't see the French willingly dilute their obstinate 'Frenchness' by becoming associated with 'lesser' European States (anything east of Luxembourg or west of Biscay by their reckoning) in any way, shape or form.
Of course, having said that; no doubt a small majority of the French will vote 'oui' just to prove us wrong.
On the other side of the coin.. why on earth would the resta Europe entertain having the French as 'partners' in anything to begin with?
Betcha alla Europe is hoping France blows the EU off!
