Murk and low nme icon range made it very interesting - should try the same weather and icon setting in MA - makes B&Z MUCH more difficult.

This is far too much like an abortion of the MA/DA.

Jamusta had the idea of making it Axis vs Allies. That might not be a bad idea.

As it is tho, this offers nothing that the DA/MA doesnt.

Couldn't agree more, with this kind of setup there is no uniquity to the arena. I really liked the limited planeset but if that wasn't what you were looking for at least keep the sides segregated as far as aircraft are concerened.

We definately need a FT map. As it is now the fields are to far but doable for me. I just think that the set up is just a DA with a few differences. We need to keep it axis v allies so we dont lose our identity.

I can change it to Axis vs Allies. Its the first time for us to run this sort of thing so we can always spend the week fine tuning what works and what doesnt.

Can you please everyone?  Maybe:

If you want separation, you could use the map sets of

Early War:

Bish 31,25,19

Rook, 16,8,1

Mid War:

Knit 27, 44, 50
Rook 7,13,17

Later War:

Knit 53,49,43
Bish 35,30,24

-----------------------------------------

If you want Axis vs. Allies x 2:

You could keep it as is and just add the Axis/Allies ET at the N front and Axis/Allies PT at the E front.

Just let people decide where the bestest fights are..........

A good point to remember.

It would be helpful if some of you folks who frequently diss the CT because of its limited aircraft choices would stop in a try this out, especially if you're interested in flying early- or mid-war planes without having to contend with 1945-era opponents.

yep, give it a whirl

your constructive feedback is appreciated

my only suggestion, as I have stated already, is stronger ack to prevent vulching of any kind. no one should be able to get within 7k of a base and live long enough to talk about it .

I'll give it a go. The ceiling is a little high for furballing, makes it too easy to be cherried. This is what causes timid attacks, guys are too afraid to commit to an engagement for fear of some alt-dweeb coming in at any minute.

But whatever happens do'nt consider this one-week trial with no MOTD to be conclusive either pro or con. This idea will take some time and some tweaking to perfect it IMHO.
