Pay no mind to Chairboy. His idea of wit is nothing more than an incisive observation humorously phrased and delivered with impeccable timing.

Hey, I got that Chanel outfit for a steal, what more could I ask for?

I wonder if Loser's brooding silence stems from it becoming rapidly clear that he accused an innocent man of theft.  The questions are:  Does he fess up?  If so, will be it just to us?  Or will he man up and apologize to the computer guy?  Next, how does he feel about this anonymous squadder who confidently asserted that indeed, "the CPU was switched out" when he erroneously relied on CPU Z too much?

Or is he hoping the thread will just sort of go away?

Think we can pretty much rule that out, unless cable guy locks it.

I say use the solution to most every problem, wait for him to come out of his store and hit him with a stick when he isnt looking. Sure he might be innocent of messing with your system, and it might be all your mistake, but he IS more then likely guilty of something sometime in his life. So therefore deserves to be hit with a stick. :rofl

I stand corrected on the CPU-Z information.  I was simply using my own experience.  I pushed my 2600 up to 2.3 Ghz by upping the FSB to 200 and CPU-Z still shows it as an XP 2600+ (even though my BIOS recognizes it only as "AthlonXP 2.31Ghz").  I have no idea how this can be if CPU-Z simply reads from the BIOS, but I know it happens.  Thats why I assumed it would accurately report the CPU regardless of changes.

Well, I guess we have our answer.  Too bad loser isn't gonna man up and apologize to the guy he accused.  Pretty sad state of affairs, and disappointing.  His continued absence seems to be pretty good evidence of that.
