Selector, I think it's safe to say that one of the main reasons we got the P47-N is because it's an easy add.  Just tweak the flight model and artwork of the D model a little and away you go. We should consider ourselves lucky to get that, what with all the work on TOD and updating the existing models. When HTC gets around to adding completely new models you can crank up the rant (if neccesary). I'm sure everyone will be *****ing about the choices since you can't please all the people all the time.

After reading what pyro wrote, there going to do the 109s and spits. Im thinking that every time they redo a plane there going to add a new one, maybe. So maybe we might get a new 109 and a new Spit when they redo the skins. This might mean we well have more german and british planes. Maybe they wont add a 109 or spit but maybe a German bomber or a British fighter other than a spit or hurrican. Thi might be a good thing.

It'd be sweet as chocolate cake if they made the 109K-4.

Im very very sure that HTC will add Bf-109G-14. The G-14 is basically a 109G-6 with MW-50 for extra power.

expected lineup for 109s

109E-4, F-4, G-2, G-6, G-14, G-10

Spitfire? I'm sure Spitfire LF Mk. IX to clear that gap between the early spit 9 and spit 14.

expected Spit lineup

Spitfire Mk. 1a, Mk. Vb, Mk. IX, LF Mk. IX (clipped wing), LF Mk. VIII (clipped wing), Mk. XIV, LF Mk. XVI (clipped), Seafire II, Seafire III (The most common)

The Bf109G-10 is modeled as Bf109K-4.  They just made it a top end G-10 so that they could include the 20mm option.

What I would REALLY like to see with the Spitfire and Bf109 remodel is:

Spitfire Mk Vb reduced from +16lbs boost to +12lbs boost.

Spitfire LF.Mk VIII added with Merlin 66 at +18lbs boost.

Spitfire LF.Mk XVIe added with clipped wings and Merlin 266 st +25lbs boost.

Bf109G-14 added (should top out at about 420mph)

I would like to see:

Spitfire F.Mk IXc have the options for the .50 cals, rockets and 250lb bombs removed.

Spitfire F.Mk XIV increased from +18lbs boost to +21lbs boost to make it more perk competitive.

Seafire Mk IIc replaced with the much more common Seafire L.Mk III.

I'd be really surprised if much of this happens, but if just the Spit V is reduced in boost, either the Spit VIII or Spit XVI is added and the Bf109G-14 is added it would help a lot.

i am not going to argue for or against new allied or axis planes, it is all HTC's choice. i think personally they added the p47n because they have not added a whole new plane for quite a while, and wanted to. with the re-do of the p51's and p47's it is the right time for the 47n.

i do hope they do add a new varient for each set they re-do, but i don't think there's any guarentee.
I don't know what to put here yet.

The Spitfire LF.Mk VIII can be used as a stand in for the LF.Mk IX for 1943 and early 1944 setups and the LF.Mk XVIe is a late war Spitfire LF.Mk IX, just with an American made Merlin.

See the Suggested, complete Spitfire lineup for AH thread for a detailed discussion on how to fill the gaps in the Spitfire lineup in AH.

The spit update caught my eye too.:)   I hope HTC uses the opportunity to change the selection of spits we get to choose from.

Although i am more excited about the prospect of flying spitfires in ToD.  IIRC the setup is the 8th AF but it wont be the 8th AF for ever.:)   Maybe even the RAF could be included in the setup escorting buffs back across the channel.  If not the next setup may very likely include the RAF.

Whoever is whining about a new P47, there's very few plane  dedicated squadrons in AH.

It's about time the 56th is given something to "compete" in the MA, flying D25s against D9/LA7/G10s/Ponies is getting frustrating.
