lol mig 27 is huge half as big as a B52!

I would estimate its approximatly the size of a mig 23(wonder why?) and considerabley smaller then a mig 25 or mig 31.
man the quality of people on this board is plumeting.

Here is one of them sitting in front of the building where I used to work at Wright-Patterson AFB. It's the home of NASIC (National Air & Space Intelligence Center, formerly NAIC (National Air Intelligence Center). Before that it was FTD (Foreign Technology Division), where project BlueBook was conducted. Notice the sensors along the roof, which are also imbedded all through the grass behind the MiG (and the entire perimeter).

Exactly. They don't takeoff and land with the wings swept back. If he saw a delta at an NAS, it was an F-21, end of story.

Still frontline service aircraft in the RAAF.
Aussie F-111s ( Eff one nudder one nudder one) are allso regular visitors to the States, taking part in Red Flag and other exercises, sometimes as freindly strike, sometimes as aggressor.

I was agreeing with you. Even if there are variable geometry aircraft operating out of an NAS, they are going to have the wings unswept for takeoff/landing, which means they won't look like "triangle" or delta wings.
