Sounds almost like the USA

I'm not approving her action; she should get burned due to stupidity. She probably read some where about ridiculous US lawsuits and attempted to do same. Since she can’t really do anything to Russian company she choose US based one.

AFAIK another reason for a lawsuit is that when she asked McD personell for medical aid - they replied that their first-aid kit is emply and the only thing they could offer were water and ice.

The US lawsuit regarding the MacDonalds coffee was not frivolous.

Mac's was guilty of knowingly serving something that was potentially very dangerous without warning. They had internal memos regarding the safety issue of their coffee. The lady had THIRD degree burns. Mac's was serving the coffee at a temp as close to boiling as possible.

Why serve coffee that hot?

Come to think of it, wouldn't coffee hot enough to produce THIRD degree burns also be hot enough to melt a styrofoam cup?

Bull**** MT.  There were warnings all over the coffee cup.

The reason that McDonalds lost that case was because they acted like *******s in court.

I may be wrong, but I thought this ruling was overturned.

When I make coffee, I boil the water. I have enough grey matter between the ears to know that I can burn myself and take care that I don't spill it on myself.

That woman in the US had handled the cup. Were the nerves dead in her hand or was her brain not functioning properly?

The Russian woman because of the faulty operation of the door has a leg to stand on but not the US women who, due to her own stupidity,  got burned. (imho) How many other coffees had she bought at RRs before?

she suffered 3rd degree  burns to her genitalia through her jeans and undergarments, far from a frivolous lawsuit.

At least the cup should be hot enough to trigger the basic self preservation instincs and handle it with extreme care or at least leave it alone till its cooled up.

Because you can use less coffee if you brew it at a higher temperature (or so I'm told). It's all about the profit.
