Mac's was guilty of knowingly serving something that was potentially very dangerous without warning. They had internal memos regarding the safety issue of their coffee. The lady had THIRD degree burns. Mac's was serving the coffee at a temp as close to boiling as possible.
When I make coffee, I boil the water. I have enough grey matter between the ears to know that I can burn myself and take care that I don't spill it on myself.
That woman in the US had handled the cup. Were the nerves dead in her hand or was her brain not functioning properly?
The Russian woman because of the faulty operation of the door has a leg to stand on but not the US women who, due to her own stupidity, got burned. (imho) How many other coffees had she bought at RRs before?
