Of all the spiteful, personal, and untrue things you have said, I take issue with this most of all.

We love killing the horde warriorz. It's what we live for. No kill is unsatisfying.

What about you, "clubbing baby seals"?  There is nothing for you there--after all, we are certainly not up to your high standards for air-to-air l337 pilit warrior heroz.  We present no challenge.  You find killiing us unsatisfying at best, distasteful at worst.  The only reason you go after us must be to spoil our fun.

(edited for typo.  misspelled 'l337')

Well, wrong on that part.  I love killing bomber jocks, but only at certain moments.  Either just as you line up for your bomb run, so I spoil it and make you gnash your teeth and curse my name, OR after one of your particularly successful runs against strat targets in the middle of nowhere that benefit nothing but your score.  I really like those kills.  VERY satisfying.  So you see, its all relative.  You are right though, you present no challenge.

Fighter hangar destroyed
Fighter hangar destroyed.

There is a feeling of elation, of having made it through the gauntlet, and a sense of accomplishment in hitting the target.  Pulse rate elevated, breathing fast.

Why can't you understand that?  I can understand and experience the sweaty palms and whatever of a good dogfight.

Personally, I think the reason is that you have a short attention span.

In recognition of your tireless efforts at killing buildings, on behalf of the AH community, it is my honor to present you with the Rainbow Flag of Elite Excellence in the field of Milkrunning and Tool Shed Destruction.

Take a bow shubie.   It is your efforts that inspire all your fellow bombers to keep reaching for that rainbow.

Just one request.

Please quit comparing this to war.  Last I checked no one's dying for real.

And as near as I can tell there wasn't one single bombing mission flown in WW2 where one guy flew 3 17s or 24s at once and gunned for himself while also being navigator and bombardier.

I'm as history minded as anyone here, if not more so, but this isn't WW2.

This is a lot more like those days as a kid where we played army and if you got shot you counted to 20 and got up again and resumed the pretend fight while arguing whether or not the guy really shot you or missed.

That being said, bomb to your hearts content, or furball if that's your deal.  I'll be off augering with style somewhere else :)

Dedalos was poking fun at my squad (I believe he really DID need help remembering what the CAF was), I said what I thought needed saying, and Dedalos and I let it go as a joke (which it was).   YOU seem to have some sort of psychotic grudge with these guys.  I mean yeah, these guys like to furball, sometimes I do too, and if I see one of these fuggers in Rookland, I'm asking where they're at.  I enjoy helping them and having fun, just as much as the vice versa, not to mention the clowing around and ripping on poor SlapShot (he sure takes it, and I'm waiting for the turnaround :) )

The BK's are NOT selfish.  If they're around me (which I have good SA), I'll call out cons, and they will return the favor.   At ANY GIVEN TIME, ANYONE COULD BE DEEMED SELFISH.  There is no point, as your "substantiated point of view" has more holes than a 1970 Datsun in a junkyard.

(eyes glazed over) Its so clear to me now...why didnt I see it before? The answer is simple. Since the bombers are so distained, and lumped together into one septic, fun ruining pool...the answer is to confirm this.

(eyes narrow..face changes into a hideous mishapen mass)
BOMB ALL FHS!!! EVERYWHERE! YES! LEAVE UP VHS! LEAVE THE TOWN UP! BOMB THE FHS! BOMB THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN!! BOMB BOMB BOMB I SAY!!!

They will try to stop us but the killshooter will destroy them,...the enemy will try to stop us but the tailguns will destroy them! The internet will try to stop us...wait...that can stop us. Whatever. We will be invincible!

Yeah, guppy--I posted that it is a GAME.  And btw, there is no recorded evidence of any fighter pilot that got killed three times a day in the real war, either.

Was I talking to you?

(checks back in posts)

No, I wasn't.

Now I am.  If my arguments (counter arguments, really) have holes in them, then theirs certainly do, also.  After all this little flamefest got started over a reference to the often repeated position of some people who regularly post here.  Guys that apparently are so insecure in their own heat-felt sense of virtual superiority that they are required by their very nature to attack any who disagree with them.  Look around the boards--the derision and contempt from the furballer side is there to see, everywhere.

Now all their buddies feel the need to come to their rescue against the big, mean guy who talks nasty to the "respected and selfless" BKs.  It's a form of lese majeste, I guess.  The loyal retainers jump to the defense of their aristocratic betters.

Psychotic?  Maybe.  Maybe I am psychotic.  Back at the institution they said I would be ok if I keep taking my medicine, though.  I must say I haven't felt the need to run through the streets screaming like a banshee lately.  Maybe the drugs do help.

What thunderdome concept of air combat?  Did Douhet, or Dolittle, or Arnold, or anybody else ever write that air combat is a one-dimensional battle?  Which one?  What book?  Why is 'thunderdome" all that matters?  Just because it gets your heart started?
