Sandman,
one issue does NOT determine if a state is liberal or not.

GTO, not sure what the abortion laws are here for minors, but I wouldn't doubt they're very liberal, remember, we the state where WTO riots flourished and half of California moved to in the 80's.

That said, a minor is a minor, until 18. A doctor should not be allowed to perform an abortion without parental consent if the woman is under 18 years of age.

Thank God I have two sons, I only have to worry about 2 salamanders in town, if I had a girl, I would have to worry about EVERY salamander in town.

So they are minors for abortions  until 18?
but are considered minors for drinking untill 21.
and are  adults when they commit a crime at 9,

wonderfull system we have...

if they are old enough to be an adult and get charged with a crime at 9-12,  i see no reason to tell the parrents about the Abortion  when they are old enough to have sex.....

I mean they are adult enough right...

The Field Poll is the standard on Cali politics.

Here's what it says on 73, 78 and 79.

Here's 74-77, and 80.

Safe bet? They're all going down.

Will be interesting.

Only in cases where the offender commits an atrocious murder are they tried as an adult, and the reason is for the safety of society. You might get 1 or 2 kids a year that fall under this circumstance, yet you get millions that may have an abortion without adult consent...just saying.

Yawn. This "commie" thing is tiresome at best. You need a new tune to squawk to.

well... sandie... you claim to not be a liberal but every view you have on this board is a liberal one.   maybe you have other views on other things but  you only give the liberal ones here...  not only that but...

you seem ashamed of em... we have to drag it out of you.   You would rather dismiss any arguement with some lefty soundbite but when pressed... get angry and defensive like.... well... nash.

I probly goad MT more than you and he doesn't get mad and... he has no compunction about explaining his views (even tho it makes him look weak and effeminate and socialist).

If you have no faith in your views... son't get into the thread.

Lots of times. Wrong lots too. I'll probably be wrong here as well.

It's just fun to play... and I'm throwin' out my 2 cents just like everyone else. Big deal.

As I've said before. You tell me what my views are and I'll tell you if you're right.

As for my being liberal. In general, I am, but I don't consider myself to be all that extreme. I know plenty of people with views to the left of mine.

Most of your arguments contain some sort of strawman. I don't consider it defensive or angry if I simply ignore them.
