Sandy, not sure if you have daughters or not...but if you did, under age, do you think they should have parent consent before killin...er, having an abortion?

Most of your arguments contain some sort of strawman. I don't consider it defensive or angry if I simply ignore them.

Sand - it's a no win.

Lazs needs to box things in, then hurl his own special brand of repetitiveness at it.

Ya'd need to be blind not to see that he's started to dial in on you. Not just this thread....

The thing about him is... He needs something billboard-sized - his aim is that shoddy.

So he's giving you a choice:

1) Become his cartoon, and let him fire away, or....

2) Refuse it, and let him fire away.

I certainly don't have the restraint, but you're a better man than me.

Tell him to go pound sand.

Here's an example how:

lazs: "sandie the commie said..."  (a few posts up)

Sandman: Screw you dip****  (in a perfect world)

That's all.

Personally? I ignore lazs now.... I reckon I've pretty much heard the same two things repeated enough times for one lifetime.  But he's calling you out now. Hilarious. Like that new kid that always had to prove himself by pickin' a fight with everyone. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that I like your style better.

Let him throw the same flailing combinations into thin air, maybe. Either way, it's a joke. Up to you, not him.

"We only come out at night, the days are much too bright
We only come out at night
And once again, you'll pretend to know me well, my friends
And once again, I'll pretend to know the way
Through the empty space
Through the secret places of the heart
We only come out at night, the days are much too bright
We only come out at night"

nash... typical... you don't see things as they are... only how you want them to be.   You are also lazy.

sandie said many posts and weeks back that he was not a liberal.  He pretty much challenged me to prove that he was... he tried to pass himself off as some kinda moderate/libertarian combo with common sense thrown in..  This is pretty much every liberals stance that I have ever seen.... few wished to be seen as extreme liberals.

What bothered me was that sandie didn't sit back and keep quiet or... make "moderate" noises or.... even explain his views....

He sniped... he sniped with pithy comments that could be passed off as "I am really a moderate making fun of an extreme"  course... only the right got hit with his version of pithy.

anyhow... he challenged me to prove he was a liberal... In my opinion... that meant that he challenged me to make him admit that he was one.

"As for my being liberal. In general, I am, but I don't consider myself to be all that extreme. I know plenty of people with views to the left of mine."

and nash said...

there is actually a third choice that seems to have completely slipped under your radar...

3) Don't say stupid things that aren't well thought out and you won't give him any ammunition.

It is not you or sandie I am attacking... it is your idiotic viewpoints.

It is not even your views that really bother me... it is that... if they had any chance of happening... it would make my life worse...  your ideal world depends soley on making mine worse.   In that respect... you are the ones attacking me.

To me... liberals are a virus.

Actually... I don't think I ever claimed to not be a liberal. I stated that I was not an extreme liberal and that you don't know what my views are. I still don't believe you do. Twice I've asked you to tell me what you think they are and still nothing.

As for your own politics, I get the impression that they boil down to just one single topic and it's guns. You'll drink the rest of the conservative koolaid if they let you keep your toys.

That's actually pretty funny lazs:

"It's not this I'm attacking - it's that. Er wait, it's not that, it's something else. Erhm, it's not even that. Uhm. I don't know - just don't take my toys away."

Sandman nailed it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Lazs!

A 60 year-old 3 year-old.

hmm... the rest of the conservative koolaid?  please give me an example.

nash... what's the matter?  can't understand what I say or... can't refute it?  probly both.   My views, right or wrong are out there... I will admit that nash is less of a wussie about getting his out there than sandie but...

nash snipes and runs too.  If you buy his quip or soundbite he is fine... if you nail him down on it he runs away.

Oh well... at least we got sandie to cop to being a liberal.   "extreme liberal"?  hell.. to most people liberal is the defenition of extreme.   "extreme liberal" is like "super jumbo".

parental notification? How many 12-17 year olds go to the doctor on their own without parental consent.

sandie.. just to make nash happy I would counter your "blah blah" arguement with a strawman one but I don't know what a strawman arguement is.
