70 MB was the initial "patch".  IIRC, each one of the subsequent ones is arond 20MB.  That might make it 150 MB for al I know.
Now, assuming a 56k modem at 5 kb/sec, that's about 500 minutes or 8 hours, 20 minutes of downloads.

To be totally fair, I believe all the patches are rolled into one for first-time install. I assume it would be 70-90MB (assuming the new vehicles take some more space).

>Thnx Wotan, that means that the roadkill
>invincible tank is still at it in WW2OL.

Is it really invincible, or can it still be flipped over by the lowered gear of a passing plane?  ;)

Hehe. I remember doing that in the spitfire.
Felt so good.

Almost as good as stopping an entire PZ attack with 1 smg gunner by using the "clipping" cheat.

Felt dirty, but heck, you gotta do what you gotta do if they dont put in some way for the inf. to smack a tank.

I loved the whines of the tankquakers about this cheat, all you could do was say "What? You let an enemy infantry WALK up to you???". They never seemed to complain about their superscoped sniper MG's that had no dispersion and little drop up until their max range.. which always was 10X the visual range of the inf.

Lol  :D  :D

dunno know mabout other planes but a stuka can still knoch a tank over with its gear.

Also there are cheats altought I haven't played enough to see them. Something about invisibility.

Maybe rumor.

The terrain looks real good my only complaint about the game is its toejamty gameplay.

Ofcourse this is a biased opinion. But so what it still sucks.

Nothing I have read has indicated that even an attempted has been made at building the flight sim aspect of it.  Sounds like they have spent there time putting out fires, mostly.  I do think MO and his people are capable of building a realistic FM into the thing, if the FPS fans keep it afloat long enough.  Who knows. A year our two...........

Tronski did you buy it new or second hand?
I think ww2ol key is valid for one login only, after that you have to contact admins to fix it. Means you need to do that in any case if you bought it second hand.

Dunno Mr. Ripley, I've read of at least 3 separate incidents this week of accounts being invalidated for no apparent reason. In the weekly announcements Hatch mentioned they were doing "clean-up", and to contact them if there were any problems.

This is a prob that has plagued them from the beginning. The day people could voluntarily sign up to pay, the first dozen or so found that after successfully setting up the pay account they were locked out of the arena. I had to laugh. Now, with much of the staff layed off, it is less likely the spartan help desk can keep up with the demands. I had e-mails sent to them for a couple of probs. I have yet to this day to hear from them. This of course was months ago. I mentioned this on the BBS and was called a liar. Funny, there seemed to be a lot of liars on that board.  ;)
