Same interview...what I noticed was when he said "we could not seem to tackle well"...gotta love it when a QB blames his defense for a loss.

great game...no one play makes a differenc in a game like that. Carrol's been a gambler his whole career. No reason to think his offense couldnt get one yard. Given TX Offense, who says they wouldn't have marched the field anyway?

Too bad the NFL doesn't carry excitement like college football...besides which, it's the ONLY football championship Texans are gonna celebrate for a LONG time

He said "we" not "they" speaking as a team.  Didn't seem like he was blaming anybody but rather stating a fact.  They didn't tackle em!

Don't know why so many people got their panties in a bunch over the "I still think we have a better team" comment.  It's what he thinks, he didn't slam Texas and he just lost the rose bowl...cut em some slack.

It was an INCREDIBLY GREAT football GAME.  But, why all the thursday morning second guessing and arm chair coaching and why all the blame laying?  It was a football GAME.  It doesn't really matter, does it?.  I love football.  Been a participant, coach, and student of the game for 45 years.  Nothing else like it in my book.  But, while that game was going on, five more U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq, probably the same age as those playing the football game. That matters.

Cause it's fun?

My wife wondered why I was yelling at the TV... I said "Because they can't tackle that sonofa********!"

Makes perfect sense to me.

Isn't he a marvelous runner though.  Like watchng water flow over cobblestones.  Always seeking the path of least resistance.  Kind of hard to tackle water, Tahg, unless it's frozen and covered in Scotch.  Now, that's fun.

Young looked like a man among boys. It would be ironic if this amazing performance caused him to go pro and play for the Texans. Texas' loss would be Texas' gain.

So when the QB says "WE did not tackle well" he's referrring to himself? Or the offense? Or the coaching staff? Or the refs? It was a clear slam against his defense to me.

Being a Longhorn fan, I'd love to see him another year in burnt orange. However the worse possible scenario to me would be to see him blow out a knee, or snap a leg , next year against somebody like Baylor. I'd rather see him go to on to the NFL.

Besisdes he's not a shoe in to be the top draft pick. I can think of three people from the USC backfield that would also have a chance at being the top draft pick this April.
