Home Schooling is a wonderful thing huh.

remember the days of GOING TO FRIGGIN SCHOOL? LIKE on a BUS? Walking? Riding your BIKE? You know...going from like 7:30 or so until like 3:300 or 4?

Oh it's so wonderful now to have your Mom as your teacher.

Mom "Jimmy...time to get up..it's almost 9:30"

Jimmy "Ok Mom...I'll be up in a few"

Mom "Ok...but hurry...I need to get Sally going as well"

Jimmy "How about you get her started and I'll play AH for a while then get started"

Mom "Ok..I'll run her over to teh Doctor and you play til I get back"

Jimmy "Ok..I'm up...Just get me when you get home Mom"

Mom "Ok"

2 Hours later when Mom get's home Jimmy get's his reading and homework for the day and plays 4 more hours. Does his hjomework in 30 minutes and logs back on until midnight. Then sleeps until 9:30 and the cycle starts again.

Home Schooling   What a great life.

I remeber getting cold water thrown on me and told to get my lazy arse out of bed NOW :furious , and if I didn't catch the bus I had to walk the 3 miles, and she'd call to make sure I was there.  Parents seem too soft nowadays.  I'm glad I wasn't home schooled, I mean how do you get laid in high school if you go to school at home????????

Thats a damn lie!  That is so insulting.

No sheep with any dignity would ever be caught dead with a Kentuckian.  Thats why they have to make do with their sisters and cousins.

OMG they are freakin everywhere around here!  I swear, kids don't even have to go to school anymore.   I used to take late lunches on Fridays about 1 o'clock or so, and I'd have to run an errand to the mall.  They were EVERYWHERE!  I was like WTF?!?!  Don't you people have school or HOMES to go to?

No surprise they are here.  I'm with you on the home schooling thing too...they should all have to sit there like I had to.  :aok

Highschool is a key part of life. What do these kids do when they get out in the public?

maybe some are, not mine. im 23 now, so not too old.

I used to get the cold water wake up call, if not that then Rule Britania played at full volume just outside my room.

If i missed the bus i walked 3 miles, alot of it up hill, if i skipped school i got beaten, if i skipped the beating i got locked out of the house.

i had to be dying to get a day off, had two broken arms and a broken knuckle and they made me go in 4 days after surgery.

i wouldnt change it for the world and respect them for what they forced me to do as a kid. but MAN, at 16 when i went to college, you better believe i skipped almost everyday and as soon as responsibilty became mine, i flaunted it at every oppertunity.

there has to be a happy medium between old fashioned parents from hell and new skool lame parents that let their kids do anything and still give them money each weekend.

disipline, but not quite to the extent some got, would have made me more likely to be responsible when i finally made it away from their vice like grip.

maybe im wrong, but i think somewhere between harsh and pathetic is the way to go if i ever have kids.

as for the DA......i only go there with someone to duel or pratice, no one makes me fly at bish field A30 with the kiddies and newbs.
