you are correct eagler...up here there is something called SAD (seasonal affective disorder) which is alot like depression, but it is caused by lack of sunlight and well, crappy weather!
On the up side...when spring comes around we really enjoy and appreciate it.

Exactly why if its winter I want snow instead of just cold, with grey skies

Snow at least looks cool (more then just n the literal sense)

I like Blizzards in particular. Usually I wait till its at its height and near white out conditions then take the dog for a nice long walk

Clipped means barely hit.  We have 2 inches of snow here.

You are my kind of people!  While the snow was'nt that deep.. it was 14 degrees during this BBQ. (an oldie but a goodie!)

My password at work had to contain exactly 8 characters… I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Hehe Laser, but you are from PA.. I figured maybe clipped meant only a couple feet.

My girlfriends sister lives in Pittsburgh, and it snows all the time there (according to my girlfriend anyway).

I'm content with the random ice storms down here. Making "sleet angels" doesn't have the same effect...

We've probably only had one "real" snow storm in my lifetime here.

177" snowpack mid mountain...

9 chairs open

But I usually go to Willamette Pass...its 40 miles closer and $36 to Mt Bachelors $49 a day.

65" snow pack mid mountain,  249" cumulative snow this year.

About a yard. But it's spelt metre not meter.

No snow here, last time it snowed round here was Christmas day 2004 but it was gone the next day. It was weird like someone's wish had come true for a white Christmas.

Well Pittsburgh is east of Erie.  They get lake effect snow all the time.  It's nothing major, but you'd probably see flurries every day.

Golly-geen you guys.  I'm freezing my balls up here.  I've been dying for the temperature to raise to 35 or 40 so I can get some exercise.

Dred I hope you enjoyed it, every square inch of my body hurts.

we all dont have teenage kids to do our snow bidding for us.

ah crap just resprained a finger.

I'm with ya Dred I love the snow just not when I dont have my 11hp snowblower with me.  goin to need a back transplant.

now I'm at war with the plows, I keep breakin thru to the street and they keep plowin mt everest my into my driveway, they are not going to like next pass.  I put large rocks and chains in the snow where they goin to pass next. the chains are hooked to 5 full garbage cans of snow and rocks.

f' them, if that dont work, mister 30/30 will have to take out a tire or two.
