Mexican Beach's, there are tons of them, the dollar goes a long way.
And with a bit of persistance you can get away from the main crowd pretty easily. There are a couple of  islands in the Cancun area that are awesome.
White sand beaches, blue blue clear water, sun, surf and lots of Corona. :)

Black Hills in South Dakota, 7 miles south of deadwood there is a campground hidden away just off the road. Spent a week there some 5 years back. One of the most idyllic settings I've ever seen. Lots to see & do within a 1- 2  hour drive.

But my ussually favorite is a wild river, a good friend and a cannoe. :)
2 or 3 days of just kicking back, floating down a river. Watching the wildlife, the scenery endlessly change in front of me. Quiet nights around a small campfire.
These are things that bring peace to my soul. That make the better part of me sit up and take notice.

I have 3 places I'd like to go but haven't yet been to:

1.  Whistler, BC (skiing)

2.  Snow Mass Colarado (skiing)

3.  Lillehammer, Norway (skiing) - ever since I watched the Winter Olympics in 1994.  The place looked absolutely amazing.

My wife really wants to go back to 'Nam and take our kids.  I want to go but am afraid of starving.  If the stuff my wife and her mother makes is any indication of the food I can expect to be served over there I think I will.

I suggested we go on a cruise ship...that way I can eat real food. :)

Some great vacations spots up above! ^^

My choice vacation spot is usually the one I've just been on, or the one I'm just planning :)

Most of our vacations in the last 10 years have been focused around camping/watersports/fishing in the Western US. We meet alot of people from all over the U.S. that enjoy what we enjoy. Friendships are made, spirits flow with sunsets and BBQ's in the evening...can you tell I can't wait til summer gets here? :p

Disneyworld 3 times in the last 10 years too (get to see Mom and have some fun with the kids)

30 second "clip" of our last vacation in Sept here.

My next choice is South America. The plan is to leave in fall, stay about 6 months and to learn spanish. If anyone has any suggestions or experiences please share.

I looked into it a couple of years ago.  Costs were astronomical, especially when I add in flights.

When I go skiing I'm too darn tired to even think about partying at night.  Those days are over. :)
