Rio de Janeiro and Bangkok are always fun places to visit. Will be in Rio about 4 to 5 times this year and Bangkok once.

Crowmaw, nice pix there.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

crowmaw - I can't play your .MOV file with QuickTime - is there a better application that can be used to play it? Also, what glider is that? - sort of looks like an ASW17, but hard to tell from the photo.

Odd that it doesn't play...it works on my QT.  Do you have a recent version?  Otherwise, Media Player Classic has a QuickTime codec...you can try that.

The ship is a Schweitzer 1-34.

Budapest, August 2005, some selected (and edited) photos.

St. Istvan Basilica

teh parliament

a pretty building... :)

The parliament from the other side of Danube.

The Fisherman's Bastion (Halászbástya).

Budapest has been one of my finest vacation targets - had a good hotel just in the centrum, nice surroundings, and enough of history there. And cheap beer. :)

A place like this

or a place like this..either one will do

No, that's not me in either picture... we're talking about vacations and places to have them.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Funny that you're the only one to have mentioned Texas, considering how much it has going for it. ;)

Here's a pic I took in Austin, to whet your appetite.

Yea, that`s some beautifull country in that area. A little further on south from where the campground is at that you are speaking of, is a beautifull lake nestled in the valley of the Black Hills. (Pactola Dam and Reservoir)

Even further south, where the hills give way to the prairie, you cand find these. awesome!

A couple of pics I took last Aug. Forgive the quality.
