I'm curious, why am I labeled "left of center"?
Is it because I think Bush is a dolt, because I recognize Ashcroft as the racist that he is, or because I find right wing philosophy contemptable?
I believe in a strong military, am against abortion on demand, believe in God, so what criteria do you right wingers use to label people?
No matter what label the right wing may apply to me or my beliefs I feel secure in the knowledge that I'm on the RIGHT side in regards to the Constitution and Bill of Rights of the United States of America.
LOL...I love this Right Wing, Left Wing crap.
The need to lable is a VERY curious human trait.
And the "Left of Center" or "Right of Center" is just plain funny!
Step back and clear the wing ideas from your mind. Now, think about the center. THE CENTER! The middle...half way from either side, the mean of the average, the point where ballance can be found.
Ballance? Good idea.
See, the biggest problem in our country (USA) is that we have to much load on the wings! What I mean is: while we may be centered and somewhat ballanced, we have more stress because of the distances that are created by moving further from the center.
For the past 4 weeks, we have all been drawn to the center, and America has had a SUPERB mental ballance.
Now the wings are begining to get loaded again and the ballance is shifting.
Criteria: Weazel, you want to know what criteria was used to label you, but you also designate a label when you say "...you right wingers."
What are your criteria? When you realize what criteria you use, then hold it to the mirror and you will have an answer to your own question.
Constitution/Bill of Rights: Yes, you are holding to the design of these great documents; in part. What you are failing to identify is that the authors of these documents realized that change is a necessary part of existance. They designed these documents, and our government, so that change can be embraced.
What that means is that 2 different ideals are both acceptable.
Consider also that the truth may lie in the middle of 2 different ideals. This truth may be, and often is, the ballance that is shared by the "True" majority.
I hope that inspires some anti wing philosophy.

When we do not allow ourselves to cross the line, we force an unballance that must be countered to maintain ballance.
IE. NO ABORTION PERIOD...ballanced by...AT WILL ABORTION. Forcing extremes. The obvious middle is to eliminate the need for the majority. However, because the 2 wings are so intent on getting their way, they can't find a way to eliminate the need.
So, organizations are founded to try to eliminate the need. Then, because these organizations do not fit into either of the wing's ideals, they come under attack from the wings. All the while, the wings are too stubborn to see the solution lies in the center.
One other example: Gun control and the wings.
No guns, no one can die of a gunshot. Everyone has a gun, then anyone can die from a gunshot. The middle...why does anyone need to be shot? Because they don't agree with the POV of a wing.
