You need to think about the elements, man! It's gawdamned cold up there! Yeah sure, he walks up to it with a club. Seems rather unsportin' like.

But where are the pictures of that hunter holed up in a freakin' igloo just the night before? How many 'bamans have that kind of dedication?

Nooo..... they sit up there in some kind of tree stand, soaking up the balmy weather and drinkin' Slammers until a deer walks past... 100 yards past... and BLAM!

Since when did you get all PETA?

I'm no Doctor, but I'd assume that from the first bonk on the seal's head, they are rendered unconsious.

How many deer, elk, or whatever get shot in the gut or bellybutton and have to wait the gruelling 5 minutes before the hunter finally reaches it and ends their suffering? I'm sure it's not an insignificant number.

There may some difference, but overall it sorta escapes me.

Rip the way I see it, seal pelts might be an option for the garage in the future, once the carpet gets a little worn.

But honestly, I think most folk have an instant knee-jerk rection to the seal hunt after being flashed pictures of the big eyed fluffy "cute" seal pups...errrr......ice rats getting the beat down.

Most of us dont think twice about animals being killed for human use as long as they arent the subject of TY beany baby stuffed toys.

For example, just last night 15 chickens had to die along the line somewhere so i could eat 3 orders of hot wings. I didnt lose any sleep over it.

But to answer the question,

Which cuts are the best after a long slow smoke? Seal brisket, eh, with Molson?

Can you ship the meat out to the Etats-Unis or do I have to drive up and get it myself?

Eskimos hog 'em all.

In the early 70's an attempt was made to emulate a good seal cook by taking strips of bacon and tooth-picking black olives on the ends in order to simulate the deep dark sympathetic eyes of these poor creatures.... but nobody bought it, and it tasted like ass.
