My mother-in-law is Czech. Pre-WWII (just) refugee; got out with her parents during the sudatenland snatch by Germany.
This doddering old female summed it up quite well:
"I pray you don't need a gun, they are terrible things. But, when you do, if you don't have it you don't have any choices at all. You must flee, do what you can to save your family. It does not help for only some of the people to have guns.. there were only 4 in our whole village. With those, against germans, we could not fight. We left. Our village died, our lands were lost... a very sad time."
I doubt Bermuda will ever see the things Granma saw. But truth is TRUTH, and she nailed it.
