All we need to do is develop an intellegent policy for guest workers.

1. Employers can hire only from the approved list of guest workers.

2. An employer who intentionally hires someone who is not on the approved list loses his business and it is sold at auction. Money from the auction is send to the local schools.

3. Anybody can apply to be put on the "approved list" to become a guest worker in the USA.

4. Applications must be filled out under the eye of a representative of the United States in an embassy or consulate of the United States.

5. Applications are only available at locations at least 500 miles from the border of the United States.

There you go, no deportation needed.

If we were to live in any other country in the world we (citizens of the United States of America) would be at a serious disadvantage because if you want to live, do business in them or otherwise engage in life there you MUST be able to speak and read/write that language.

I support the President in this matter and its one of the few that have had my support in the last 4 years.

Holden, I agree with you but... if it is just fines or even selling of titles to businesses... it won't work... there needs to be jail time for all the employers and politicians who have been screwing us into this problem all these years.

Anyone caught hiring an illegal needs to spend a year in prison.

after you put about a dozen in jail the cowards will stop and the problem will end.... fine em 100k and the problem will continue.

Kerry:

You can't say "Nuclear"
That really scares me

Come in quite handy.

Bush said he thinks the national anthem should only be sung in english.

I have two problems with this;

1) Bush thinks?

2) Why does it start with "Jose can you see?"

Outside... outside the US... Smart ass.

But then the Kármán line is an internationally designated altitude commonly used to define outer space. According to definitions by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the Karman or Kármán line lies at a height of 100 km above mean sea level.

So theoretically SLC is only about 61 km from an internationally recognised international boundary.

I wonder if this is just a big flipflop on Bush's part or just the failed construction of a straw man cause it seems that a Spanish rendition of the Star Spangled Banner was just fine for his 00' inaguration and at other times before...

He even sang it himself in Spanish.

But then, I guess IOKIYAR

If you live in a country which is not where you originally came from, you want full rights and citizenship, what is wrong with learning the language?
And if you want to sing the national anthem, how about learning it in the language of that country???
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

i think its phisically impossible to remove all the illigal aliens. but i do agree on what bush said that all the illigal immagrents that have been living here for more then 5 years. then they should go to the office and become a citizen paying taxes like every 1 else. now if they havent been living here for that long then they need to go back to mexico get the papers so they are aloowed to come over here. the problem with illigal aliens is that they are here and do not pay taxes and are almost living here for free. every time they get a job they never half to pay taxes to the government like citzens do. so i think that is one of the only problems i agree on what bush said.
