Whenever I hear that my jaw just drops in amazement. Because no, the "nation" didn't elect him. 51% of the nation elected him. In fact, more of the nation voted to elect Gore the 1st time around.
Check your facts, Nash. You are either misinformed or spreading misinformation. Gore
did not get a majority of the vote. Neither did Clinton - either time. The last Democrat to be elected with a true majority of the vote was Carter (and wasn't THAT a stellar success.

). Reagan and the first Bush won with majorities of the popular vote. Then we had three consecutive elections where the winner did not get a majority (first two due to Perot, third one due to Nader). Then in 2004, Bush DID get a majority of the popular vote. Due to the high turnout (by US standards, anyway), Bush got more total votes than Gore did in 2000 by a few million. If I am not mistaken, Kerry got more votes than Gore did, too -- and he lost.

.... And I have to say that my biggest problem with the Democrats is their willingness to sit there and just eat this kinda garbage instead of standing up and calling BS on the whole lot of it.
To do this, you and they would have to quit spreading your own BS first. I'm sure that isn't going to happen.
