There's plenty wrong with the Democrats, but this guy is getting just a little carried away:
The problem with that strategy is that, yes, admittedly, the president is a national disgrace, but that also reflects badly on the nation that twice elected him, so a large fraction of patriotic Americans don’t want to hear it.
Whenever I hear that my jaw just drops in amazement. Because no, the "nation" didn't elect him. 51% of the nation elected him. In fact, more of the nation voted to elect Gore the 1st time around.
So if Democrats are in such rough shape, what does that say about the Republicans? Were they in
rougher shape than the Democrats only 6 years ago? Were they only 3% not in as rough a shape two years ago?
How about today, when Bush is at 35% approval, and the Democrats can come extremely close to taking over both houses of Congress in Novemeber? Who's in rough shape? We're generally talking a couple of percentage points either way at most.
So it's entirely ridiculous. They've
both got serious problems.
.... And I have to say that my biggest problem with the Democrats is their willingness to sit there and just eat this kinda garbage instead of standing up and calling BS on the whole lot of it.
