Lead test pilot for the NF-104 AST.  Your reaction may very well have been similar to Yeagers and exactly my point.   Who's this guy?...I'm Chuck Yeager...just give me the keys.

Yeager's a badass in my opinion, but he's god only in his own mind.

Yeager: I aint answering any questions about games I flew the real deal and put my *)(* out in the breeze for my country and all your gonna do is go post some silly note about what I said and get it wrong. You screwed the pooch son now sit down.

Naw, wasnt me,  but I got a chuckle outa that.  :)

I did have to oppertunity to meet Yeager a few years ago,  Tom Poberenzy introduced me.  It wasnt much,  got a handshake and a "Good to know ya" from Yeager.  I also got a personalized photo of the both them autographed.

I was offered the chance to do an article on gaming/virtual  pilots for Sport Aviation (EAAs Magazine) but Id just get it wrong,  so rather than screw the pooch,  I sat down   ;)

As for Bong, I used to know his nephew.  He worked for my uncle and the family resemblance was amazing.  He could have passed for Bong back then.
The sad part was I never bugged him for stories.

Thats because you are a greater aviation legend and should not disgrace yourself by "peeing" on a lesser aviation legend....

No, but I think one is an actor, and may have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

DISCLAIMER : It is noted that the author of this message gets no payment from the above mentonted motel chain and it is expressly noted that Mr. Norris did not put his seat into an experimental plane and try to do something no mortal had done, and lived to tell about it at that period of time.  And, did the above mentioned author mention that the above real pilot did get real kills in WW2, in a real WW2 aircraft, and is qualified to have an opinion?  And did the above author mention he found humor in the fact that other real life sim pilots are more qualified to post their opinion.  Does anyone else find humor in this or would they like to take this opertunity to cut down a real life legond?  If not, please read the first post.
