I just laugh at his current state these days. Like this last post.

Not affected huh....Does your father work in Manhattan?  No?  Mine does...For the past five years, and until retirement, my family always has to carry around in the back of their mind, that our loved one is working in the most targeted city in the United States for a terror attack, and even the most minute emergency, brings fear to us....

Not affected huh?  My uncle is an airline pilot for United.  He happened to be flying on 9-11-2001 during the attacks...My family now has to live with the lingering fear of what if in the back of our minds.......

AND NOT AFFECTED huh???????  On September 10th, 2001, I planned on making a living flying commercial jets....On September 12th, I decided to commission into the US Army after college graduation, and fly Army Helicopters, which I am a stones thow away from right now....

So dont give me your BS about not being affected

Cav,

He's just a troll now. If you notice he never has a discussion with anyone. He just throws out a statement with all the courage of a drive by shooter who then speeds away. Ignore him, he's a sad person.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

OK then your family and friends were directly affected.  What I'm talking about is the other 99.9% of us who weren't affected directly but still had mushroom clouds coming out of our ears.

Typical neoconanderthal kneejerk ad hominem.  Why are we discussing me instead of the subject at hand?

I'm happy to have a discussion with you.  However, a discussion entails more than just making personal comments about the other person.  You actually have to deal with the subject matter of the discussion.  You might try it for once.

Even if what you said is true, which it is not, about .01% being affected, I dont care!  Just because some didn't feel a direct physical connection and loss during the attack doesnt mean they were not affected, as much as myself, or anyone for that matter....

It's called Benevolence!  It's called caring...and most importantly its about respect, and Patriotism...

In other scenario's, I could have been the one living in Hawaii, thousands of miles from the physical attack, and I still would have been affected, because my country was attacked...therefor I was attacked!

Well then how do you reconcile the quote here with the ones I provided from other very recent threads?

The only current obstacle to discussion of the thread topic is your insistence on discussing my previous posts on unrelated topics.  I won't reply to any further ad hominem statements of this nature.

Agreed.  But why do those seem to only apply to people in Manhattan and DC and not to the (20 to 30 times more!) people who have died violently as a result of US actions since 9/11?  That's what's irrational and that's why I say we went a little crazy.  Myself included

Acting rationally instead of emotionally is what seperates us from children and animals.  I'll give people a pass if the irrational behavior is due to something happening to friends or family, but not when it's due to something we see on TV.  That's just creepy.  Especially when the media and the government milk it for all the economic and political profit they can get with sappy movies and unjustified wars.

As a rational adult I can "react" any way I choose, including letting emotion take over for awhile. Emotions including joy, anger, pride and remorse(conscience isn't rational) are also what separate us from animals and children.Remember, sport, that the attack was a political statement to ALL Americans, not just those in New York and Washington. If Osama and his cadre think that killing innocents is "rational" like you seem to insist, then please explain. BTW, what makes you think that the label "Zionist" fits every American? On the list of important things in my life, what happens to ANY country in that part of the world ranks 10,001 on the list of 10,000.
