Ghost, by halfway decent, do you mean I should refrain from calling people I don't know and have never met nor interacted with "white trash", or saying things like "they're from the wrong side of the tracks"?

If that's what you meant, perhaps you should take some of your own advice?

While I most definitely refuse to take the game as seriously as some people would like, and occasionally participate in little stunts purely for entertainment purposes, I try to avoid getting personal and attacking the actual person behind the keyboard. For the folks who view and treat the game in a similar manner to be personally attacked by others who don't share the same perspective... that just makes no sense at all.

Oh, and the goon thing would never have worked. No one would follow me out of a house on fire.

Well the way most people fly or should I say Safety Dance in this game, there wouldn't be much difference if they did stay in the tower.:aok

And unfortunatly the BBs is getting almost as uneventful as the MA.

Question sir, when have you EVER heard me refer to anyone as "white trash"?
As to the wrong side of the tracks remark on the other thread. Well if the shoe fits.

Hub I've never ever attacked you for not taking the game serious.
Thats your call, and I respect that.
Refusing to take people serious, well thats a judgement call.
No harm no foul.  I don't think you can ever prove I've done either to you for that reason. As a matter of fact yes some people do take the game too serious.

"occasionally participate in little stunts purely for entertainment purposes"

This is the one that most often gets you in deep doo-doo hub admit it.
You do what you do when you do it because you enjoy the ***** storm that follows.  I don't agree with it, I don't always like it, but thats my problem.

Your problem is its given you a certain reputation. And you don't always like it what that brush covers a bit more than you think you've deserved.

Some people see entertainment in a person kicking a dog.
I see someone that needs to have the tables turned.
If thats a problem, stop kicking the dog.
What you find entertaining is indeed your choice. But it also defines you.
And can make you a target in return.

You can't have it both ways. And thats what this thread is REALLY about.

Now you can lambast me all day long. But it doesn't change anything does it.
You'll still laugh at the man kicking the dog. And I'll still try to find ways to even the score. Both for the man that does the kicking, and the one that laughs.

Ghost, here's how it is. I say this:

and you counter with:

Let's see, I said I don't take the game too seriously, and that others don't, and that there is no need to hunt them down, harass them, insult and belittle them for not having your exact same perspective, and you turn that into "hub enjoys watching people beat animals", and then state that you feel it is your obligation to single me out of the entire community of thousands, and insult me, make deregatory remarks about me and my family, and that you feel justified in doing so because you don't like me?

:huh Um, I'm not seeing the logic in your posts.

Anyway, at least it's somewhat relevant to this thread. Your conduct in this thread is exactly the sort of behavior I'm saying has no place here. And that, my bitter little self-appointed nemesis, is really what this thread is about.

Actually this thread is about, in part, a thread I created and therefore partially directed at me so let's not get on the high horse there sir.  You see there is a very real solution to the problem and it's easier on than in real life.  In real life you should engage your brain prior to opening your mouth.  In the online world you should engage your brain before typing but, lo and behold, you have the opportunity to read what little gems of wisdom you have just dispensed prior to hitting the submit button.

As you are sir an admitted bit of a pot stirrer I would say that you shouldn't be suprised when the criticism is directed towards you.  In fact perhaps you should take a moment to consider the other persons point of view and, while you may not agree with them, give consideration to the fact that they see a situation differently.

Now for myself.  The little trolls who like to make light of anyone who has the audacity to post on the holy Aces High board with a subject that you deem inferior to your status may say and do what you want.  I've dealt with worse on internet boards where the members would send them home crying to mama and, frankly, unless it's REALLY amusing it's quite boring.  If it's really amusing I generally laugh and send the poster a pm about it sharing the laugh.  So far your efforts have really not been up to the amusing status.  I could suggest some books if you like.

The bullies with what I like to call 'keyboard courage' that wouldn't have the cajones to say to another mans face what they just posted are merely the foamy scum at the corner of the great internet ocean and, while they are everywhere, are not really worth much thought or effort.

Now I know what you're thinking sir.  I just called you scum.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  I did no such thing.  I merely pointed out that people who typically engage in such behavior have that status from my point of view.

You may make up your own mind as to whether you fit into that category or not in my mind.  I'm sure, however, that my perception of you is not important to your overall self esteem nor is yours of me or anyone I choose to associate myself with important to me.

I've categorized you based on my impression of you and you've categorized me based on your impression of me.  In the big scheme of things it really means nothing.

Of course that's just my opinion..
