I think its offensive to ask the community to effectively buy a computer for a guy... In his post he says (under the name Flying Fortress "I think I just need a new computer".

Ask your squad.  At least they know you well enough to know if you're jerking them around.  

You know, there are a lot of really great people in AH.. There really are.  But this is just abrasive.  I mean, If my monitor blew up tomorrow I"m not going to try to make it YOUR PROBLEM.

If' my video card went up in smoke thats not YOUR PROBLEM.

Cripes...  Next thing you know someone is going to try to import some kid from Brazil because hes a great stick with a natural feel...All we need is $1200 for a plane ticket.

If you can't afford to maintain a computer then how do you have $15 a month to spend on your subscription?  You can get a brand new computer from Dell for the same $15 a month.  Stop pawning your woes on the community.

What a crock.

No, apparently there is an agent...

Its still tacky and he could ask her to drop it.  He clearly is aware that she is begging on his behalf.  And he's doing nothing to prevent it.  Thats just as bad.

But I have helped other AH'ers in the past and see nothing wrong with it.
and would do it again if I can. not giving the farm away but if I got a spare part laying around that might help I'd be glad to send it.

Betty was asking for spare parts not a new PC.

If that were the case I'd be asking for help to pay my mortgage,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hmmmm,,,,,,,,

I just gave away my entire previous computer to a coworker last month.  But I do have a spare NIC left that he is welcome to.  It's not much, but I don't need it and maybe this might encourage others to contribute.

Well, Doobs, nobody seems to be ready to tell anyone the parts yet do they?  Hell, I sent a squad mate a $280 video card when we went from AH1 to AH2 just so he could play... Its not like I'm not willing to give to those who need..

The question is... If they can't even be bothered to define the need, why should anyone assume it is legit?  If the squad won't pony up, why should the rest of us assume there isn't something odd going on?  Its not like BullZ is unheard of.  I would assume a network of friend exists?  With a squad website perhaps?

There are limits.  IF you're going to come beg for a potentially valuable freebee, you should at least be able to define the need.

He said in his post "I need a new computer'... Thats just a smidge toward the vague side, would you not agree?

OMG!!!!!!!!! dude...chill out, this isn't anything like u would like to make it out to b to make u feel better bout bein rude, it was simple question of if anyone had anything they rn't using, in bullz reply he also said if someone had a computer or whatever they wanted to sell to email him, read a lil closer to the reply before u jump the gun, he also said in there that " he is not askin anyone for a new computer" . even suggestions on what could b wrong with his is helpful, anything right now will help. if this was u kurt, i would b doin the same thing for you. i'm not " begging " as u put it, i was simply askin a question, that is all. <>

i have a 420 watt 24pin power supply i dont need
i upgraded to 650watt
 and i have serveral old dinosars with spare parts need to know what he needs
