Not sure if it's already mentioned, but to get some nice weathered look, there's a series of easy things you can do;

Dry-brushing:
Paint the part in the colour you want first. After it has dried, dip your brush in aluminum colour (in this case) just abit, don't dip it all in.
Now carefully brush the part (engine in this case) to get this look:

Paint the main colour of the prop spinner and let it dry for at least 2 or 3 hours if not more.

Then to paint the swirl on the spinner, take some blue painters tape or masking tape, wrap it around the spinner and using an x-acto knife cut out your pattern.

Peel off the tape where the pattern is and paint that.

Kinda hard to understand but good luck.

I've got the cockpit tub on my Corsair mostly painted. Right now I'm waiting on replacements for the pilot's seat, rear bulkhead, and a part to fix to the front of the flight stick (the former two were broken, the third was missing). Once they come in and I get them painted I'll post some pics.

One thing I'm doing, in addition to dry-brushing aluminum for wear, is giving a light wash of thinned Polyscale "Dirt" on the cockpit floor. This adds to the used appearance of the cockpit, and helps tone down the color.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Nicely done model Taylor, better then 95% of mine.  A few thing i'd say though, paint the model before putting on the canopy or use tape to cover it.  Also use painting tape to tighten up those lines.

Half my models look just like that, taylor :aok

As a follow up, this one's been in the works for 6 months (with a period of waiting, for the tail conversion and the decals to arrive in the mail), and many attempts to use tin foil before I got the hang of it,

drum roll please....

May I present to you, "Ruby's Raiders"! (yes, the same as the B17 skin I made)

WOW!
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

thanks guys, half of the decals i put on either riped or fell off and i caould not put them back on! ow and about the props falling off i hot glued it back on and with the swirls i had trouble putting the tape on but i managed to get thin swrils on it! krusty nice b24! thank is great i don't know about the shiny part!

ow ya with my paint it was odd because i did barker first then i thought i should have done lighter first so i did a few coats of the light paint then i went back to darker paint and it was diferrent slightly, i contiued with the odd paint then the next day i thought am i sure this is sea blue i looked and it wasn't it was teal or something like that then i looked at this black looking paint and it was sea blue then i said "darn it!" then i had to do all the coas on top all over again!
