Interesting... I've known about the Ju88A-4 for a long time, (not an expert, but still new a bit) and this is the first time -- ever... EVER! -- I've heard that. There's almost no pictures of it anywhere, that I can find. I've seen one "color plate" with a profile of an A-14, and your film footage!

Might have been somewhat rare? I'm making a guess as to why it's not in AH now.

Although, if we had it, we could not level bomb, and the Ju88 wouldn't get formations. :(

Is it possible that the cannon was a standard loadout for the export Ju-88A4's? Or maybe something that the fin's asked be built into theirs at the factory?

No idea.

Usually they Krauts exported different versions than those they used. I.e. the Turkish 190s had MG/FF inboard and MT17s outboard (none of those nice Mauser cannon!) or something where it had 4x MG17 and 2x MG/FF.

It's not unlikely that they had variations on the Ju88, but if this was one I don't know.

Every delivery package of a JU88 delivered to Finland consisted of a single 20mm MG FF. It was not a field modification but a part of regular armament options.

You either had the MG FF OR the level bombing sight (Lofte, BZA) in the plane.

The cannon had either a 60 round or a 90 round ammo drum.

If the back of the cannon was locked into place the firing mechanism was connected to pilots controller so he could fire it using a reflector sight, or if the observer unlocked the gun he could shoot it within a rather limited arch.

The cannon armed JU88s were used in Finland to attack troop transportations and shipping.

So, it was a standard armament option for A4. :)

Needless to say but I'd like to have it.

Sry, don't think so. I don't actually recall if it is in German or Finnish...

It is possible that Finnish Virtualpilots Association has it scanned from actual documents.
