Either one and Im going to get pwned. Furball has already beatn the snot out of me with early war planes in AH. Now he'll get the planes he'll be even better in. Korea, I suck at jets. As soon as I get close to a target Im either out of fuel or Im compressing and I auger.

If I had to choose tho Id say Korea in the hopes for bombers.

look at widewing's korean roster, that looks good. How many ww1 planes are there, and how many are worth flying? I mean goin from a 400mph+ corsair to a 100mph fighter sounds like a down grade. Theres like one bomber(if u can call it that) and i seen the tank they used back then, not a pretty sight. INsteqad of slowing the game down speed it up. I would like to see both but i would be in the korean arena all day.

Can somebody wipe up a roster of some ww1 planes. try to get an idea of how that roster would look.

how many of these would actually be flown and how many would be hanger queens.. How many bombers are there, cant leave those guys in the cold.

I looking up some of the tanks, Upgraded sherman was there(we need this in ww2 anyway), upgraded t34, m8, churhill is another that was there and is wanted in the ww2 roster, and i know theres more this is what im searching as im writeing.

Biggest plus with adding korea will be for the bomber guys, they will finally get there b29.

Could probably try to get those choppers into use by droping field supplys or picking up downed pilots. WAs the c47 there? or was there another transport?

WW1 would need everything new, top to bottom.

You didn't ask about hangar queens. Yup ... quite a few are bombers.

Korea would need just as much (if not more) work. Think catapults on the CVs for the Panthers .... a flight model for the helos ....  amongst other things. ;)

Ooo and that list of WWI planes is seriously a short list.  There was much innovation in this time.

WWI would be much simpler to model than Korea from a "support system" point of view.  However, the flight modeling would be a challenge.  A lot of WWI planes used quite unconventional control schemes...control surface warping, throttle control consisting of ignition timing rather than fuel mixuture, etc.  It would be a challenge to get it right.  And even then, "right" would be argued from here to Timbuktu.  There's no shortage of WWI aircraft performance "buffs", which is a more subjective and debated discipline than the study of Jesus' years 2-30.  A LOT happened in those short years for aviation, but seems nobody knew how to accurately record it.  Yet everybody today is a bona-fide authority on the topic.  You Red Baron II/3D guys identify with this statement.  :)

That being said, if HTC was willing to take on WWI, and make something reasonable based on the available info and within the engine and gameplay capabilities of AH, I've no doubt that it would be the superb air combat experience.  There are hundreds of WWI-heads out there that have no real home anymore, yet they search.   Folks say that < 200 mph is a downgrade....oh my lord you have no idea the challenges that fast turning, slow flying, weak-gunned, sans parachute, and fragile construction combat offers.  SUPERB.

Everybody go watch Flyboys on Friday (uh, the US guys.  Don't mean to be America-centric to our brothers overseas).  Then say you don't totally dig the idea. :)

well, i think our cv's need to be redone anyway. I have been on the uss interpids flight deck(it was in ww2) and our cv is tiny compared to that. The task force needs to become a more powerful force then it is today. Atleast with korea some of the vehicles and planes(B29, meteor, sharmen, churchill, etc) come back to ww2 and a hand ful(f4u,p51,m8,etc) are already done or need minor tweaking.

Both would be cool, i mean the game is called aces high. Doesnt say anything about being a strick ww2 fighter, and i dont see why it cant offer all 3 of them. I would love vietnam, the f4 phantom is one of my favorite fighters(if it aint 1 its top 3), but its more about air to air missles instead of guns. If aces high wants to expand the addition of both sound like the way to go.
