I dunno we had to use comealongs and johnson bars to the eject the middle kid at age 25. my biggest concern is that I'll end up with a ponytailed democrat still at home at 35 years of age.  I don't think I'll allow that to occur though.

yep.. we have to break the socialist public school hold over our money and our children... vouchers.

When I was in school the NRA brought in instructors and we took our 22 rifles and....  in my case... a pistol to school and then were bused to a range where we learned safety and marksmanship.

Dodgeball was fun.

In high school we had wrestling and...  Boxing.  I boxed for 3 years in high school.

We did have some bad fights... even a few edged weapons incidents but... no one shot anyone.   maybe it was all the westerns on TV that we watched but...  no one thought it was very manly to shoot an unarmed person... much less girls.

The first time a shooting at a school happened... many were shot trying to help others and.... citizens shooting back kept the snipers head down.

Now...  the pasty faced goth aholes that shoot up schools go for the weakest and most of the time.. (notable exception being the private or religious schools) most of the time..  the students and teachers can and do... nothing but run or hide or trample each other to get out of the way...

Anyone who could have helped in the past is rendered impotent by our stupid and unconstitutional gun laws.

No... I don't like the creeping socialism at all.

That went over my head.. One guy in one of the grade schools I went to managed to kick anyone's ass, rack up all the nicest chicks, and ace all his classes all at once, without any bruises or dirty clothes.
The only thing you could've reproached him was his supersized ego.

What im saying is that a kid that never got himself dirty and bruised by playing outside will never end up like the guy you described. Ill bet a fortune that the guy you are talking about wasnt afraid of things that could hurt him or to get dirty when he was a kid.

nelson...  I don't like either of em.

I would be content to leave em alone but they won't leave me alone... they are allways taking the money I earn and telling me how to live.  If they left me alone I would just ignore em.

It's not creeping anymore.  It's stomping down the hall, singing and crying out in joy.

Of course, that just makes em easier to find :D

Yep, that was it Nislen.  He was very smart, and had both very good and bad examples in his family.
I can't remember any one time when he got significantly dirty or scared of anything.  We'd play who could stay in the snow wearing just underwear or boxer shorts the longest, but I don't think that's really dirty.. Dirty would mean getting thrown in the mud, but that's the sort of thing that he never let happen.
One of the clearest images I remember, was hunting birds with snowballs from what seemed, at the time, to be impossible distances.. Everyone's snowballs looked slow and lobbed in comparison to his.   Nailing birds right in the chest so fast they never saw it coming was so much fun :D
Anyone who could threaten him, he either ridiculed, decked out, or befriended easily.

Wow!

When I was in 6th grade in Hollywood, Ca. I was playing basketball on the all concret playground.  There were some other kids playing football a little ways off from us.  JUst when I had jumped up in to air to make a shot, a kid running with a football accidently ran into me, clipping my legs out from under me.

I landed head first on the concrete and was rushed to the hospital for 10 stitches.

It was just a stupid accident and I doubt my patents even thought about suing.

Kids get hurt...  What next... taqke away the pencils?  A kid stabbed me in the hand with one one too...

I read about this yesterday, and it was on the local news last night.  Anyway setting there last night with my wife and 9 year old daughter Sara watching the news.  This little tidbit came on about no more tag at that school and I made some remark to my wife about that was a bunch of crap.  Sara says "They told us last year we couldnt play tag or Ninjas anymore at school cause someone might get hurt.  but thats ok we dont listen to them and play anyway." :lol

maybe our kids will save us from socialism
