Throw him to the lions!
If we're going to act like Romans we might as well go all the way!
(I'd say cruxify him but I figure our Christians wouldn't like that and the Muslims over there would just be doubly enraged).
Another mistaken poster who ignores the very real fact that " we" did not try him, "we" did not convict him, "we" did not pass sentence on him, and "we" will not be responsible for carrying out that sentence.
The judicial court system of the legitimately elected Iraqi government is the body that tried, convicted and sentenced him. They will be the ones to decide whether to carry out the sentence, and they will be the ones who do it.
"We" the coalition lead by the USA, captured him and turned him over to that nations government. We have since only guaranteed his safety in confinement and provided medical care. I believe some US lawyers may have participated or counseled in his defense.
He has recieved far more in terms of fair trail and humane treatment than any of the hundreds of thousands he had tortured and slaughtered.
If that is "acting like Romans" in your view, I suggest you go back to the history books and learn the differance.
So, your attempt to smear the USA, and it's administrations policies is so far off base it is pathetic.
