I thought it was more like a firing squad? Seemed like it on the video.

I actually like kids.

He said the bastard should rot in a box, not live out his days in a Motlel 6.

And what the hell does having kids has to do with killing Saddam Thrawn?

I think you grossly underestimate the instint to live.
I think most would rather live a life like that then be put to death.
Actually its rather obvious by teh amount of appeals of death sentance cases there are in this country.

So I don't think the situations are as different as you like to think.

Saddam executed or had exicuted anyone he reguarded as a threat. including his own people.generals, etc.

And reguardless of their affiliation. they were Iraqis. therefore they were his people. His countrymen. Even if they were considered his subjects. they are still his people

You miss the point: The Sunnis do not consider the Shi'ites their people. Nor do they consider the Kurds their people, and neither did Saddam. There is a reason why the Sunnis, Shi'ites and Kurds live in different areas of Iraq. The Shi'ites and Kurds were second rate citizens at best, sub-human at worst, and the Kurds got the worst of it being as militant as they are.

The Jews living in Palestine are obviously not considered "their people" by the Palestinians and their administration. As for killing political rivals and threats Arafat did the same thing, Saddam was one of Arafats idols.

Correct.

And thats the reason why the fighting in Iraq will go on.
Thats the result of hate which has been cultivated in decades. Now they are free to fight each other.

Sunnites bomb Shi ites with their suicide bombers of Al Kaida.
Kurds kill Sunnites who dare to live in northern Iraq or force them to leave the kurdish territory.
Shi ites who are today the majority in iraqi police and army kill and torture Sunnites.

There is no united iraqi people.

The few politicians who tried this path of poltic were washed out in the elections.

Not at all.   I'm glad you're my fanboi though!   So far Nuke, lasersailor and yourself tout routinely on these very boards how "intelligent" you are, and how great "you are".    Funny thing is, what we read on these boards after you type, states otherwise.

Nuke, if you think for one second I'm angry, you're off your rocker.  I'm just a blunt, to the point person.    I thought you were "Banned" anyways?   Skuzzy know about you "re-emerging"?

How's your mom Masherbum, any news?

She had surgery for Diverticulitis 16 years ago.   It appears she had a bout with Diverticulosis (90% sure of this diagnosis, just waiting for a call from my parents).   She left the hospital on Saturday and was doing great yesterday when we brought our son over.   <> Viking
