Woe is me, I missed the beta test frame by one whole day. Showed up on Nov 5, natch.

By my own rules, I should be hanged, drawn and quartered. It's the quartering that I am worried about.  :cry

It was not the Beta Frame.  It was a test so we could make sure the plane sets actually worked together.  IJN kicked arse though!

Registration Opened for the event, with Manual Additions for Team Zeke to occur as we have been discussing in here.

Currently, people have registered themselves to team zeke.  Sorry for the confusion with this, however these players need to chose Team Alpha or Team Beta, as the slots for the Team Zeke were filled and while waiting for some registration information.  These slots will need to be opened so the original team can fill it.

There is still plenty of slots available for the Primary Teams.  Again, sorry for any confusion this has caused, but please go back and read why we are doing it this way.

Seems like my squadron's registered pilots are split half because of this "dont register/register now/u shouldnt have registered" farce. Now 2 of us are in Team Zeke and 2 are going to be left out :(

Blauk, sorry about the "Farce"  I posted the list In Here as this is not a new conversation.

I'm sorry people registered to Zeke early.   Let me ask you this, as I've had a couple of people reply to this via PM, and I'll ask the same thing.  Which is "Fair"  Cut the people who have been working on building the team or cut the people who signed up arbitrarily.

Answer that one for me.  Someone is losing a slot.  This whole discussion revolved around Preparation and Team Building for a specific outcome of the event.  A great deal of time has been spent with Team Zeke building, talking, and configuring a team.  Now, a few just registered, no communication, no discussion, no participation, which is how registration usually works but Not in this case, As Discussed Before.  So again, I'll ask you, who should I cut?

Dear Sirs,

You cut who you see fit. Still when you bow to one direction, you should know what you are doing to the other.

IMHO, registering through the "official" registration system (at least that is what it used to be) is no less dedicated or less participating than writing PMs. People who register immediately when the registration opens ARE dedicated.
Command teams have often been built beforehand with PMs, but now even common pilot positions will be given filled that way?

This whole "registration" has been so confusing, discussions are spread over several boards and PMs. How should a common scenario player act from now on? Maybe there should be some more clear concepts or instructions for them in the future, especially when common procedures are unexpectedly changed.

---

You can give 2 seats back to some kicked-out pilots. We talked about this briefly with Jarsci. The reason we fly these scenarios is to be able to fly together with squaddies. We'll possibly register with some other team.

Remove:

"BlauK"
"Jarsci"

... do NOT add "RBug" or "Kaitsu" to their place!

---

Yours sincerely,

I'm fine with the idea of recruiting ahead of registration. But I'm a bit confused considering I was one of the ones that posted my info early on in this thread and I notice that people who posted after me aren't included in the list of those booted. I have to say that I don't like the fact that my name gets tossed around like someone who 'snuck' into registration after keeping up with the scenario registration concept from the beginning.

While it's nice to see so many people interested, I hope they recognize how much work and organization is involved in such a grand and popular event, and cut all of those involved in it some slack while this little wrinkle is ironed out.

Simple solution is to use all of this negative unproductive energy and find another 50 people to swell the Team Alpha and Team Beta teams, then we just add the extra 15 to Team Zeke and move on.

But, that would be productive, and positive.  Funny thing about energy.  Different grades produce different results.

bizkit, did you get a PM from bohdi? i think he was PM'ing those that would be accepted. and no one is mad at the guys who jumped in, seeing as most of them had no idea about what was going on. it was to do with the fact that registration was opened for team zeke, even though it was full.

no one is mad, but we requested that those that were told they would fly team zeke would be able to. there may be 1 or 2 empty slots when eveyone finds out about schedules, i'm sure if you wanted it badly enough, you could grab a spot :)
