No guitar yet.   I was leaning towards an Alvarez acoustic.   I've been told the strings "lay flatter" on the neck and are a little more "forgiving" for newbies.   But, like I do know, it probably is a few person's version of "brand preference".

I did do a set about 9 years ago at a festival here. I was playing mostly blues then. As I said before, I've never recorded anything, so that's why I think you have me confused with someone else. Those songs, with 10 others, were shopped around extensively years ago and unanimous opinion was a yawn. They're just bar gig songs. I accepted that then and still do. I've never had any aspiration other than to play for myself and enjoy it.

My father earned his living playing music. I'm not even in the same galaxy as he was, or other real pros. I was lucky to play some gigs with some people who put me in jaw-dropping awe. And no one has ever heard of them.
