That's a little harsh don't you think?  Those players, including myself, consider Iceman24 a friend and in mine and Murdr's case a squadron mate as well.  Can we be blamed for sticking up for our friend and squadron mate?

If anyone that deserves any blame for this fiasco is Iceman24 himself and not the ones that stood by him as any good friend would have done.

It's time for Iceman24 to step up to the plate and apologize to those that defended him and to the AH community as well.

Gullible folk?  LMAO!  I didn't even post in this thread until the 3rd page idiot!  I also never stated that I know this to be true, it was more like "if this is true"!  My posts were pro-kill house intruders!  Nothing more nothing less!  After reading Murdr's post I was definitely leaning towards it being truth and have yet seen any proof that it isn't.  So I will leave that up to the facts.  I will not believe Charon's post until I see proof either. Until MiniDik shows me proof that ice is that numbers guy he was talking about I will think the same of him as I do of every other idiot that lies on internet!  If Ice's post is a big lie, then I will have no respect for him as well!  So refrain from opening your idiot mouth and using my name, bud!  Or better yet, stick to the O'club! :aok

I reported this thread to the squad on day 1.  I reported a summary of the contents of a squad email to the thread on day 2.  I reported that Charon's inital information on the detective may be in error.  I did not report on day 4 that I found it suspicious that Arlington city and Tarrent county have searchable police log databases without any information that match up with the story.

I tried to stay neutral and pass along information considering I had no definative proof of the veracity of the information I was relaying.

So what is this day 6?  On this day Id like to report that Westly can take the vice-presidents well publicised advise that he gave to Sen Patrick Lahey on the Senate floor.

I'm not pointing fingers at you and trying to make you the bad guy.   The one that deserves our ire is the one that lied to his friends and the community not you.  I do however think that your comments directed at Betty, Murdr and those that defended Iceman24 at first was way out of line.

What would you have done if it was your friend and squadron mate?  Would you have defended him or would you have joined the bandwagon for a virtual tar and feather?

I gotta go with sticking up for a friend.  even if the friend is wrong.  akak murdr and company got this one right.  iceman is the tard here and you can clearly see who the good guys are to you guys for sticking up for a friend.  now it's time to take him out back for an old fashioned asswhooping as that's what he clearly deserves.

I'll take anyone at his word until he proves his word is worthless.  this attitude has at times cost me but also has brought me far greater rewards.

sorry your friend turned out to be such a POS.

Skyrock, you surely must be fishing yourself now, right?

I mean, specifically with this:

"After reading Murdr's post I was definitely leaning towards it being truth and have yet seen any proof that it isn't. So I will leave that up to the facts. I will not believe Charon's post until I see proof either."

I believe Charon offered to give the sheriff's contact info out if you PM him...  If you want definite proof, you'd better take him up on that offer...  Because there's really not a whole lot else he can do besides type out what he discovered.

Call me crazy, but I don't think anyone would be such a jerk as to slander someone who actually DID go through what Icemand supposedly did, by claiming proof that it didn't happen.

I mean, if you weren't fishing with that quote...  Quit tellin' stories and pass that blunt, would ya?

No issues from me Murdr. In fact, your digging helped lay this to rest once and for all. Without Detective Walters direct contact, there would have still been too much "he said/she said" wiggle room for the hardcore supporters. And, as kind of the focus point on the skeptic side, I would have had to deal with some of that flack far more than I would have ever wanted to. Frankly, I should have been more persistent since they guy I spoke with at the PD that initially couldn't find the detective's name seemed a bit confused, and was going off paper rosters. But, by then it was just icing on the cake, at least for me.

What is ironic, is that without that last post this probably would have just died out as being more trouble than it was worth. The details he provided were literally able to be confirmed in all of about 20 minutes time.

BTW, here is the response I received back from Detective Walters:

Quote
WOW, what an imagination. That young man may have a writing career in his future, fiction that is. He grew up two houses from me and he went to school with my daughters. It is all fictitious….. His parents are friends of me and my wife. Thank you for the heads up.

                                                            Det Dave Walters

                                                            Fort Worth Police Dept.

                                                            Major Crimes/ Fraud

If anybody is still skeptical, I would actually suggest calling the Fort Worth general "admin" PD number, and asking for Detective Walters through the switchboard route using his department to make it easy. After all, any number I give could be to my cell phone :) He clearly stated that he had no problems confirming this to anyone interested.  BTW, the detective is a pilot. I tried to pitch him on AH but he didn't seem too interested.

I have seen this type of thing pulled by a person know to myself and others in the Gainesville area, who ran it so far that money was  take up, (a good amount} to help him.
SO SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS NOT FUNNY, and the local police were very unhappy with him.
