I think i had the same rifle. Is the trigger something like 10lbs, i bought one for the house and then returned it after the first time i pulled the trigger. I hope they fixed the trigger because it was a nice rifle for the price. I had a beeman as kid and that was my best purchase ever. It finally broke in 2002 and i have no idea what the pellet count was down the barrel. We would shoot dimes off a fence at 40 yards with it.

FXI, this is an improved version of that rifle with a better trigger and a better scope if you bought one with it - made in Turkey.   i'm going to work on the trigger to lighten it some more when I get time because its still a tad heavy.

Lazer, I haven't tried shooting a coon with this rifle, and probably won't, but with a heavier pellet at 25 yards with good head shot placement I think you could take a coon.

The M1 Garand is still my favorite fun gun.

But all my guns are fun guns.

LOL Laz,

I find the M1 shoulders more naturally for me.

It also has character that the M1a/m14 rifles do not have.

Plus, since we are in Commiefornia, I can’t get 20 round mags, so the M1 only has 2 less rounds per loading, and it’s easier to load.

I'm surprised there aren't any AK47 shooters.

Back when I was looking to buy my 'fun gun' the AK47 was in my short list. It lost out by reason of accuracy for varmit hunting.

Still, AK47...a good solid weapon, was cheap (i'm not sure today), ammo is cheap and plentiful, parts and accessories plentiful.

AK's are nice, I can disassemble and assemble one in 20 seconds, blindfolded.
