China is poised to be the new super power,western countrys are queing up to do business with her,including are own mr Blair -not bothered about human rights abuses there then!- By the middle of this century she will be the Economic superpower,The US economy is in decline.I do worry about the future,in 1907 the future must have looked so sanguine for mankind and look what happened,God knows what this century has in store for mankind,but it does not look good.:(

Sandy, that would never work. Targeting the actual terrorists is not how to win the war on terror. You have to invade a random Arab country and create new terrorists.

Although they probably didn't salt the fields of Carthage.. salt was high dollar back then and it would have taken a bunch.

I was curious as to this spy plane story when I saw it on drudge and followed the links. Consider the sources. Somebody find some reliable sources please.

I don't know Masherbrum, these guys look pretty tough the PLA (Peoples Liberation Army) compared to the Russians.




Both look tough, and both Armies do have its poorly trained, and equiped troops. I still think China would win ground war, but then again, the Russians do have a better Armord Forces. Its a stalmate.

Here is a picture of Chinese troops capturing supected terroists in a joint-anti terroism military exercise between the Pakistan and China border. Now these guys are good at taking down the enemy with out firing a round.

Question regarding China...

Anyone down to trade Taiwan for Korea, and China gets to keep both so long as they help with the latter?

Really I don't see a major problem brewing with China militarily.  They seem to have found an appreciation for money, and wars tend to make you lose that.
