Oh... and the history you are writing at the moment is not something you should be proud of.
The US knows plenty about war. We have been involved in it for most of our existence. We were forged by a war with our "former masters" and we suffered a catastrophic civil war. Follow that with involvement in every major conflict since then. We are champions of freedom, and the desire to help. Apparently that means little now in Europe. As for it happening "over there", I needn't remind you that a bunch of religous fanatics attacked us not to very long ago. We now fight them "over there" so we and you do not have to fight them at home.
As for the history we are writing, I am very proud of it. The US and allies stopped an insane dictator and stopped the proliferation of WMD's. We also presented a united front against countries that support terrorism. History will look back a 100 years from now and say that we did the right thing. Unfortunately the short sighted liberals do not see it that way. They only see the here and the now, and the fact that no one is hurting them in their snug little Land Rover Discovery in their tract homes. They fail to see that the reason that is, is because the US responded and is now proactive in the fight against terrorism, as opposed to a previous administrations "head in sand while I lob a cruise missle" approach.
