Hitech since bishops like to drop 10k troops. to deack field or try sink cv, because they find playing game right is to hard can you code it so game ing game like this stops?

dropping troops over field or over cv to kep auto ack from shooting planes is lame. But then maybe i'm wrong but seems lame to me........?

I recall the last "Mass Goon Drop".   I was in the game about 4 months and got pissed off one night and decided to recruit 30+ Goon pileits.   Turned out we had 47, we all dropped troops and locked the server up.    Things got better for a while after that.

I remember one from about 4 years ago, maybe more.   Rooks were at the last vehicle base defending, must have been 20 of us, Osties, M16s, Panzers, just slugging it out.  Bishop GVs swarming the base, bombers overhead trying to take out the vehicle hangers.  All of sudden a bunch of C-47s show up and drop troops.  The sky was filled with troops, bang, discod...:lol    If i remember right it was Ripsnort.

You sure it's people doing this to occupy the ack? Or is it some Newb dropping troops on the field thinking he can capture base this way? There has been such a large influx of new people and I have seen them drop on the field and drop from 10k up.

If your going to stop gaming the game then you would have to start with Shawk and all his gaming the game tricks. That's why he's always ranked number 1 at the end of the month. Not because he's the best but because he games the game.

Regardless how he does it, hes a good natured person who I like to see at the top. The dropping the troops to confuse the ack...well pretend the troops are chaff I guess? With all the manned ack involved, wiggin out a few of the AI stuff doesnt bother me. But then again, I have it out for robots.

And what exactly is unhistorical about mass air drops? Seems to me that dropping ten guys to take a town is more on the gamey side.

Hmm, yah....P47's always called for the 101st or 82nd to drop a couple of C47 loads over a field before they began straffing.:O

Never seen this happen, although I have laughably seen noobs drop troops on the base.

Lets think about this, what is more effective, having 5 guys fly goons to drop troops over ack to 'confuse' it....or have those 5 guys in 38's with rockets to actually kill the ack?  What 5 guys want to drive the goons just to drop troops so other guys can kill ack and get to vulching?

Doesn't make sense to me....I think it's a non issue but maybe Im wrong..just my hunch.

Quit being a tardling .
1st the MA is anything but historic.
When a game requires 10 troops in the town for capture thats the game rules.
2nd
When you see 2 or 3 C-47  dropping over the field. Then see cannon armed ac  start popping ack. You bet your arse they know exactly what they are doing.
Gaming the game.

Sad thing is if they all just flew the FW A8. The field would be deacked faster.

When we do the deack run. We use the 190 A8. All that needs doing is all pick a different area so all ack is not on one AC.

Watching the whining on channel 1 back in AH1 as FR's dropped to 0, and began stuttering was hilarious.   Call me what you want, but like I said, after that, it seemed to change some people for the better.

For every complaint about things like this there is some one who let's them get a goon up to 10k over a base.

If it's so common that it warrants this  attention, then Assume they are going to do it, and have a fighter up there.  I mean, it's just a goon, it's not like they are going to shoot back.

I’ve always thought the term “gaming the game” was silly.  The term should be “playing the game”.  AHII is a game; a very dynamic game with many possibilities, just like real war.  Unexpected stuff happens; get over it already.  Any group that can get a mob of goons to a base unmolested deserves kudos.  Anyone who complains about too many goons is a bad shot.  Man, I’d love to be in a fighter and run into a gaggle of goons.

Furthermore, I have NO problem letting that goon STAY AT 10K!   He's helping out the defense more than he would think.
