I tend to skip over single huge paragraph posts.  Typically they are not worth my time reading, and rarely have anything to say that is worth considering.

nope, not the only one by a far stretch.

funny thing is I put extra breaks, probably more than needed just to make sure it is legible in this style of forum

personally I read the first line or 2 then move on as usually it is "blar blar blar blar" then just a reiteration of said "blarh" in the rest of the wall-o-text

There have been 4 new terrains installed in the last 3 months, or so.  If they are not coming fast enough for you, you can always grab the Terrain Editor and help put some new ones together.  We have no problem with people wanting to help in this area.
