Now if you wanna talk about some good acoustic, i'd say Sublime...Too Bad BN overdosed over 10 years ago.

BN & Friends is a cool cd though.

Yup that would be pretty cool.  Like I said earlier, I think MTV Unplugged has been one of the few gemstones of MTV from the last 15 years.

Aerosmith unplugged would be pretty cool.  There's something about backing up a rock band with a symphony that just looks and sounds cool.

IMHO  Korn uses way too much distortion to play a good unplugged set. i think that the thing that makes MTV unplugged sets good are that you here songs u know well in raw form.

as far as 311 goes..... one cover song for an adam sandler movie does not a good acoustic set make.

people heard nirvana and more specifically Alice in Chains and felt that raw artistic vibe, while korn requires too much studio time to put out an album

Nothing will ever beat Alice in Chain's unplugged performance.

Do you follow music?  You do realize 311 is much larger than "one cover song for an Adam Sandler movie"

311 rules. Easily my favorite band. Followed by Janes Addiction (Porno for Pyros)

DANG I forgot about ALice in Chains unplugged.  That album rocked and I'm pretty sure I own it.

I wasn't a huge Foo Fighters fan until I heard their "skin and bones" album wich is basically a live unplugged set.

Are you serious?  Foo Fighters are another band that need to stay away from acoustic guitars...

I was going to let you have your opinion, but now you must know how crazy this is.

You can't take a hard edged song and make it soft, that's the whole point of it.  It's rediculous to try.  It makes them sound like candy assed fools.

On a side note Dio is touring with the rest of the guys in black sabbeth calling themselves "Heaven and Hell" guess they don't want to make sharon mad LOL and I believe they have some new music coming out as well.

"HEAVEN AND HELL will kick off a world tour with 11 Canadian dates beginning March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, with opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. Additional U.S. dates will come later in the year."

I really hope they make to Texas !

I listen to alot of styles of music and I know that if you dont like the kind of music being played, it doesn't matter if its amped or accoustic. Some people will never like Korn-

Not yet mentioned, and surely worthy of note for accoustic merrit, Eric Clapton.
