You are right.  I should have said,

Otherwise, the only thing that's meaningful with respect to score is K/d  - and even then only in the right context.

I'm pretty sure if HTC stopped displaying the 1st and 2nd place ranks on the webpage every tour, this type of dweebing it up would decrease exponentially.

All HTC is doing is encouraging milkrunning the undefended fields. Either stop encouraging that or ONLY rank the late war arenas. Or have a separate rank for all arenas.

If you ask me, just stop displaying the ranks on the front page every tour. Then who cares? The ranks only matter because HTC endorses them, so to speak, by advertising them. That makes folks think they matter.

It limits your stal speed, by deading your stick to suttle movements, its in option flight
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

I'm not sure.. most people going for rank or at least seriously watch their rank# (and that ain't that few) don`t even have a chance to get their name displayed on the webpage, and they know it. They go to be ranked under 1000/100 or maybe even reach the top 20 or whatever they set their personal target at.

(I even almost never see the start page. I have bookmarked Scores & Forum seperately)

I never really understood how ranking was accomplished.  I asked HTC about it at the convention.

I said 'shouldn't you get better 'fighter' rank for not dying....so the ones who don't die get the better rank'

He said (paraphrased) "the problem with that is then everyone starts running away and not engaging in the fight"

I said, "I know some guys like to take a stuka, load it with a big bomb, then hit a city or town and blast alot of buildings."

He said "thats what you should do"

Anyway, I still have no clue how to get the uber rank, if I get over 50 that is what I consider super good for me.

I have tried the stuka thing, not die in fighter thing, so on so forth...other times I just say screw it and fly like a maniac.  Funny thing is last time when I didn't try, my rank was better than when I did try.

So I don't know.  Here is my take on.

If you are ranked better, ur a dweeb who spends too much time playing this game and knows 'little' gamey secrets.

If you are ranked worse, it is because I just have more skill and should justifiably be ranked higher.
