Last night I was flying in the EW and just for chits and giggles, I decided to lift a 109F-4. I very rarely fly German Iron, but wanted to see what it could do.
A CV was off the coast so I engaged a couple of A6M2s and scored kills ... I was climbing out and check my 6 and about 2.5K out I see a 190A-5 so I turn into him.
We were offset at the merge and I was pulling a lead turn ... during the turn he tried to score a quick deflection shot, but missed. Once we passed, I went vertical and to the right ... he went vertical. At this point I think he lost sight of me and flopped over trying to find me. I slammed hard right rudder trying to go for the deflection shot but missed. With that, we had to merge one more time and post-merge, I was saddled up.
At this point he is about 800 out and diving for the deck ... I follow ... once on the deck, he starts pulling the land-trout maneuver ... which most (should) know, BURNS speed and E. So I close to 200, get my timing down, and put some into the cockpit and BOOM.
Next thing I see on 200 is ...
"No way a 109 can do blah-blah at 390 mph" ... and I was "cheating" (WTG FOR ME !!!)
WTF is that ? ... how in the hell can someone tell how fast I was going. I have been playing this game for 5+ years and I couldn't, for all the gold in the world, tell you how fast you are going when I am fighting you. I look at nothing but the target ... never into the cockpit.
Anyway, I tell him that the land-trout maneuver never really works.
After that he gets real indignant and tells me to "blow it out my ***" ... and then feels the need to continue and type disparaging remarks about my wife ... very sad when someone has to resort to that type of attack.
Bottom line ... anyone who gets on CH 200 and has to spew a litany of excuses and/or disparaging remarks is really insecure about their WWII pixel prowess and cannot accept the fact that they might just have gotten schooled by a better pilot or they just flat out blew it.
If I had to get onto 200 and type out excuses for every time I get killed, I wouldn't have much time to fly.
Oh ... and before you tell me to send it in to HTC ... screen shots of the discussion have been sent.
