Great point FiLtH.  That's been one of my gripes with the small maps.  Often the only choice to get into a fight is furballing against one country or the other.  After awhile it gets, as one of my squaddies put it, "mind numbingly boring".  I think it's not so much that it's boring but tiring (at least at my age).

Then I become one of those tower guys impacting the ENY while I take a short break to refresh before going back at it.

Hmmm...guess I'm a duelist.

Example from last week:
I'm low and slow in a 38G. 5 bad guys coming..I have plenty of time to escape.
So of course I go straight for them..and I hear this on range:

Twinboom: Shooter you see those guys coming.

Me: Yep.

Twinboom: Jesus Shooter...what are you thinking?

Me: *BOOM*

Me: hehe that was fun.

i find it hard to make the case that picking planes is more exciting than furballing.  that is not to say some people would not enjoy that form of gameplay just saying i fail to see how spending a day picking only would be more exciting, or less mind numbing.  maybe more relaxing, i could buy that one, or maybe more time to chat.

I think I'm a bit of both, but I'm much more at ease in a chaotic fight on the deck than I am trying to stay high and fast and out of trouble.

Not sure where I fit in--my goal first and foremost is ALWAYS to live--trading a sure death for 5-10 kills isn't a swap I'd  care to make. Being a jug driver, ya pretty much HAVE to come in with alt, as every LA7, Yak and K4 above me will hunt me down like a dog...now that starts to sound like cherry picker, as I'm prolly above 90% of the fight now....hmm...although, when I DO die, it's usually in a 10 player scrum on the deck:confused:...ok..I'm a semi-skilled hapless dweeb:aok
