BW-372 is currently at the Pensacola museum. You can find photos and an article about it from the Finnish Virtual Pilots Association's web pages.

Lol, that will be easy.

If it's not a choice on the next round, it's been axed.

Stated elsewhere, but still worth mentioning.

The lobbying and polling happening in the forums will be a moot point.  The majority of the players who log in and see the vote window pop up in the game when going online will vote with whatever they recognize from the names.

No links or further information on that pop up window.  No full names.  A large number of online players probably do not know much about the planes on the list.  A few do, but many do not.

Result: An uninformed popular vote.

This being the case, I figure the first round will see cut from the herd:
Brewster Buffalo (not a prayer..... one wing away from being a Stearman trainer, no real name recognition.)
G.55 (general lack of information by proles may kill this one, HOPE NOT, my second choice!! But no name recognition.)
Yak 3  (lower number than Yak 9....must be a bad plane then, right?)
Pe-2 or Tu-2  (non-American bombers most not very familiar with)

Leaving:
P-39
Me 410
He 111
B-25
Japanese fighter
A-26

Final Four will include B-25, He-111, and probably the P-39.    Purely on name recognition.

Sorry should have looked at the thread before replying, this is where it took me.  I read that people were talking about taking b25s off of cvs if B- 25s were the final choice,  so I replied, and this is where my reply was posted.......Crazy Amerikaners!!!!

well I did a quicky count just here but I left the sheet at work and although its not a fair representation of all the players voting I'll try and give you an idea...
1. P-39 (20)
2. G.55 (17)
are the top two in this poll with the B-25 (5) and the Brewster (3) were near the bottom.
the me-410 has high numbers and the He-111

On in-forum poll may be a far cry from the actual voting.  Here you have a smaller number of players that are exposed to more information and lobbying about each plane.  Even a much smaller number listing their vote in the poll threads.

Online voting is all players entering arena.  Much larger number.  Also, greater chance of uninformed voter.

I give the G.55 a 50/50 chance at being cut in first round.  No name recognition among casual players of the game.

I like that you say that anyone who doesn't vote for the G55 is an uneducated fool (milder than your actual choice of words), even though you didn't vote for it either.

People will vote for the planes they are interested in, fond of, or familiar with, and since those planes aren't already in the game, that's a good thing. I really don't know what your problem is.

I would expect ANY plane with 3 X 20mm cannons with 200-250rpg plus 2 mgs with 300 rpg, and with the G.55's performance numbers to at least make it past the 1st round of voting, especially in a game with the high LW player numbers (compared to EW and MW), and all the ENY 5 planes running around.
Add to that the fact that the G.55 falls into the MW time frame, I would expect it to go very far in the voting among the players, if not take top place.

The G.55 is a rare, obscure plane with no name recognition.  If it does not make it past the first round, I suggest that is evidence that many of the voters don't know what these planes are.  A popular, uninformed vote.

This is speculation.  I'm not sure which way it will go in early rounds.  I have my doubts that views in the forums will be reflected in the general voting.  As to my problem?  As I still monitor and participate on the Help Channel when in the arenas, I suppose I've a low opinion of the quality and knowledge of many of the players in the game these days.  A jaded low opinion.

Point being, you're calling anyone who votes for planes that saw action in multiple theaters, for long periods throughout the war, an uninformed idiot, while claiming that those who voted for oddballs that only saw action for brief periods, or can only be found on the bbs, the smarter, better informed group. This seems silly.

100% agree Hub why i voted russian bomber.

I don't like russians or bombers but from a historical point of view mixed with the current available planeset I feel for the Russians to have no bombers whatsoever is a little off.

How many men did the russians lose 22 million???  They broke the Wehrmacht not the Allies.

I don't agree. Don't forget that Arena message clearly stated for at least, I think, a week before the voting what was going on, saying what planes were to be voted and where to find informations about them.

Of course, I don't think anyone ran to read the forum or Wikipedia or a book (prolly someone didn't even read the Arena message), but I guess the vote was/will be not that uninformed... and don't forget that the planes were discussed and debated on radios, too.

Of course a certain share of the players will cast a vote with little idea of what they're voting for, but this always happens, everywhere.... after all we had Berlusconi and you have George W., isn't it? :D

Hub, Bruv, I don't think tedrbr meant what you're saying. He just wanted to say, IMO, that most of the people will vote with more knowledge of the history of a plane than of its performance and stats. While, being MAs still the bulk of the game, the latter should have more importance in choosing a new plane. At least, that's what I read in his words.
