way to go people, vote in a bomber that is basically useless. ya it has some good guns, but cant carry a large enough bomb load. we need another good sturdy fighter. but what do we do? vote in another bomber?? we could have used the P-39.... sheesh what were you people thinking?

We were thinking it would be better to rise above ourselves, and bring in a bird that a relative of one of our own had quite an experience in.

It's only a little bit we could do, And this story in the bottom link really fires the imagination.

We have little time in which to honor those, whom we only emulate.

We were trying to help the community at large get a clue as to who the men were who flew these things, and in the process maybe educate a few folks, while at the same time honoring the father of a long time player.

How dare we think that way.  What a bunch of fools we turned out to be....

B25 is cool no doubt, but the P39, man that would have been sweet.  Maybe HTC will pull a proverbial rabbit out of their collective pie hole and give both planes at the next update.

As someone very much in favor of the P-39 it took guppy's post to put things in a better more meaningful perspective. While this is simply a game it does in some small way keep a much greater collective memory alive. We owe an impossible debt to our fathers, brothers, fellow countrymen and allies {and yes I'm speaking as an American}...many of whom died in defense of our beliefs and ideals. Reading the story about Toads father brings clarity to the sacrifice required. When John J. Nolan gets a chance to fly "Quitch" again I'm sure he'll have countless others like Lt. Nirdlinger and his crew riding shotgun.

Every plane has its stories and brave men and women gave their lives in defense of their believes on all sides. My comments are not ment to belittle others but to commend one....in the end I think this worked out as it should have. God bless John Nolan and all those who walked, rode or flew in harms way on our behalf.

Hmmm what was I thinking when I voted for the B-25 EVERY time???

I was thinking that it's a really neat plane with tons of history behind it. It served in EVERY theater of the war in large numbers, and the most important reason of all, IT'S NOT ANOUTHER FREAKING UBER PLANE!!!!!! It will take some skill to fly it.

I've been waiting for the B-25 for 2 years now.

Oh and based on the vote, it becomes painfully obvious that not "everyone" flies fighters. There are already enough fighters in the game for you to play with. You don't want to fly the new plane, then don't. No ones going to force you to.

It won by majority vote so deal with it.

What i dont get is how anyone can complain about getting a new plane.....period. Planes don't get added all that often anymore , i'm happy to see any WWII combatant added.

Just how many more decades do you think you have to play? Used to be you could count on 6 or more new rides a year from these guys.  Look at how excited everyone is getting at the mere thought of having ONE more plane added. This plane set, although excellent and deep, is far from complete.

Just to allow Toad's dad the chance to sit in Quitch and fly it again, was enough reason for me to have voted for the B-25.
