Why the different skins make such a difference.

2 80th FS marked P38Gs winging outbound and coming home after a flight.  Oboe in Ken Ladd's "X-Virgin" and CorkyJr in Corky Smith's "Corky Jr"

Gotta love that history stuff coming alive :)

The photos of the 2 Finnish 109s in different markings and the 2 D9s told me it was time for the 38s to show up:)

NOT

You can see a tracer between the Spit left wing and the vertical stabilizer, it could be from ack... the field should be inside the FW turn, so the position of the tracer is consistent... it could be offline.

Guppy, the first picture you posted of that formation.... you already posted that! Cheater! :D

Musta been a training hop, Guppy. See, when they take away your ammo, you DO make it back in one piece!!!!

Although... :noid

We didn't actually see the end result of the landing, so your reputation is still intact. Just don't go showing pics that insinuate a safe landing, and it will stay that way!

My comment torward Zoozoo was actually directed torward the burning La7. Apparantly he flys Yakovlevs and Ilyushins too based on his response.
