FTJR and I winging up the other night over the Bish 6k base.

I ran myself out of fuel chasing a Komet around, so we landed at the closest Vbase

Not a bad run, 16 kills between us, 9 and 7.

It is the 'German Revi' gunsight or something like that.

It's a good sight. You may need to have your graphics set pretty high (possibly with Hi Res pack) for it to show as it is in the screenie? I'm not sure.

Kinda liked this shot of Shuffler breaking hard down and left as the bandits 9 low call had just come in.

It looks right to me.  I was right behind him.

screens X!, just curious, why are some of thegunsights i see are mapped just out of sight of the gunsight view?

Better accuracy?

That is a result of two things, Talon.

1st, when moving the view position around in the Film Viewer, the gunsight pip moves around on the actual gunsight.

2nd, I make a lot of my shots in a 'head positon up' view, as I have a button to move my 'head position' up on the hat of my stick.

This allows for a greater field of vision when pulling lead shots over the cowling (particularly important with the 30mm cannon, as you need to lead so much).

To be honest, I rarely fire with my gunsight completely centered in the actual sight. I always slide the head pos up enough so that only the lower half of the gunsight pip is visible on the gunsight. That way I can use the bottom half for ranging long-distance shots and just guess with the upper half.

You need to wait a little longer for the textures to load in that last screenie, Zoo.

I felt like a bit of a change tonight so I was helping the Knights with the rest of the Prawns. Knights v Bish and a bit of a CV war. There were no less than 4 or 5 CVs killed in this area. It was good fun. All.

Lined up and bombs away:
