Things look bleak for Tony in the finale Sunday June 10. He's holed up in an upstairs bedroom somewhere cradling his AR-15 or something like it.

His imported hitmen botched an attack on rival Phil, who quickly retaliated by eliminating some of Tony's main sidekicks. It's curtains for the series, and maybe Tony.

I'm surprised that Tony did not empty his hidden gunsafe in the living room column. They showed Carmella opening it a few years ago and it had AK-47's, grenades and assorted handguns.

I noticed David Chase wrote this and the final episode. It shows. I was really shocked that Sil got hit. I expected him to be the last man standing with Tony. I'm sure it will be Pauly Walnuts that goes down swinging with T now.

The feature film is still under development.

and Carmela with the AK was the funniest scene in all of the series

Pauly has always been my favorite side charccter. I loved it when he got spooked at the sieance. Hate to Sil go though.

Ahh.

I don't have HBO since I moved to Sulphur Springs. The last new episode I saw was when Tony got out of the hospital after being shot by Uncle Jr. Even that I had to get from Blockbuster.

Surely Phil and his sneering little sidekick won't be the last guys standing. That would be too mean.

Good script tactic knocking off some of the nicer (hence marginally more inept) guys in the second to last episode. Now the worst really deserve their comeuppance.

Note the terminations so far have been handguns spraying lots of bullets. Good setup for the long gun finale.

Actually the moves against Tony's crew were already in motion before the attempt on Phil. The reason they didn't get Phil is because he was already in hiding, anticipating that Jersey might try to beat him to the punch.
