well if your gonna scratchbuild it I wont submit mine either till my panels and details and weathering are done by myself also.
airmess 109s are awsome looking I dont know if I can get it as good either but if you like I will walk ya through it step by step.

I am drawing panel lines first. making them all antialiased.

"I am drawing panel lines first. Making them all antialiased."

just for lines that are not horizontal or vertical making them look smooth

if its a straight angled line you can rotate the line to the angle needed then paste it ont your horizontal or vertical panel lines layer.

i make the lines black with 100% opacity and fill.

if its a straight line I just draw it with a pencil

curved line I use the circle marque if its a circle then delete the center of the circle with another circle marque after i fill it in

for odd curving lines i use the polygonal lasso

here is an example of the area i am working on now it is the left side nose of the 109k4.
I am using photographs and drawings to try and understand how the nose is put together and I am drawing in the black panel lines in two separate layers. one labeled vertical panel lines the other horizontal panel lines. much easier to edit when constructing the skin especially if doing it from scratch and having to eyeball things.

feel free to use this as a guide for mapping out your nose panel lines you will just have to line it up with some existing landmarks on the texturemap of airmess' origional lines.

note the exhaust manifold is angled now to follow the angle of the exhaust pipes.

antialiased lines have a "soft" edge instead of a "hard" edge. its a setting in the art program that your using.

Im not doing the 109 anymore. I just wanted to use airmess' template to redo it real fast because it didnt come out right with the MA lighting. I started on another plane and just got the panel lines finnished.
